![]() The Hard Ride Tour 2011 has officially begun.
Here is my video from the Papa Joe Ride for Cancer yesterday. It was a good time even though it took me about 2 hours to clean my bike today after getting rained on coming back from North Bay ( Ya, I'm one of those guys who are always meticulously cleaning his bike. Did I mention my OCD,lol? ) I hope to get one of those GoPro wearable cameras so I can film while we actually ride. YouTube - ‪Hard Ride Blog; Papa Joe Ride for Cancer‬‏ |

![]() June 5th I participated in the Huronia H.O.G. chapter's annual charity poker run as part of the Hard Ride Tour 2011. It was a lot of fun and the scenery was amazing. I won the award for traveling the furthest to attend this event.

![]() I've driven from Miami to Wisconsin a dozen or so times, & rode my ol' FLH the same route followed by a run out to Sturgis, SD & back. So, if you're open to a bit of advice ...
1) Avoid Atlanta, GA during rush hour at all costs. 2) For a bit of amusement: Stop in @ Cafe Rique near Gainesville. My waitress was totally nude except for a pair of white tennis shoes. Hysterical! 3) If you care more about the adventure then time: After Sebring follow HWY 27 to Krone Ave (Miami) to US1 (Florida City)... You'll avoid a lot of tolls & traffic while enjoying some great scenery. 4) For the return trip: Try US1 to Krone to HWY 41/SR-90 to I-75 ... Same reasons #3. I'll be riding down to KW in Sept. Where are you staying down there?

![]() I might add to Sir_Angus' post: if you've got a bit of time to kill once you get South of Hotlanta - drop in on the Air Museum at Warner-Robbins. I touched an SR-71! (don't tell anybody!)
Enough stuff there to keep a body busy for 2 or 3 days. No joke.

![]() I have passed by Atlanta in a car a few times during rush hour. I always take the east by-pass. Doesn't seem too bad except getting to the off lane when coming south, you have to get through speeding traffic coming down onto the highway. scary.
