Ok Ace, I see why you hate the unions. And there might be some truth to that locally I don't know. But still, the basic problem is that the Detroit strategy of producing cars that nobody wants is not working. You can't blame the unions for this.

Well, that certainly isn't helping (although GM and now Ford are getting a clue). *BUT* the union (that is, cost) issues the automakers face are definitely playing a part in their difficulties. I'm not saying this to blame either the unions or the auto makers, but to identify an issue that they have that affects profitability.
