In a related story, BMW announced today that a record 100,000,000 service center days had been accumulated for the R1200 series, smashing the previous record of 90,000,000 service center days for the K model line. The lucky owner of the "100 Million Bike" was treated to an unrestricted seat on a luxury leather couch and unlimited free cups of vending machine coffee at the service center.

"From 1999 until 2003, the predecessor model R1150GS was built a total of 58,023 times."

"We wore out some fasteners on that bike, I hope to tell you!"

"Just as we finally figured out how to do it properly, they came out with the 1200 version!"
