Thank you for bringing back wonderful memories of years of riding in West Virginia. As you say, it may count as riding "shangri-la" (with maybe the Ardennes-Eiffel road and the Deutscher Alpen Strasse in Europe). My favourite spot was "Sweet Springs", near White Sulfur Springs, where the first American female journalist, Ann Royall, once lived. A little piece of paradise, in the middle of nowhere and loaded with history. As an "European" now back home, it remains unchallenged in terms of beauty, riding pleasure and hospitality.
