Default Planning to take royal enfield classic 350 cc (UCE) model, Need Some suggestion?

Hi All,

I am from india,I am hard core enthusiast of royal enfield bikes and planning to take royal enfield classic 350 cc (UCE) model,

I would like to suggest me regarding the folowing queries :

1. How is the performance of the bike in regard to mileage and maintainance?
2. How is the thumping beating of this classic 350 compared to standard model? if it is not up to the standard model beating, Can we change the silencer of classic 350 inorder to get the feel of the thumping beating which we get for a standard model?
3.These are my areas of concern, I kindly request the people who are really the owners of the RE bikes or the service people(mechanics, analysts etc) who had a close watch on the enfield bikes suggest me whether I should go for the classic series or not?

Awaiting for the quick replies from u.

John- What year is the 350? Is it a unit construction bike like the 2010 500s? Is it fuel injected like the 2010 500s?

IF you have answered yes to all three you are probably making a fine decision on your buy. I suspect that the general maintenance is fairly easy and straight forward. If it's a Pre-unit bike then you have to contend with carbs and oil leaks on the older bikes. Would it cause me to not buy the bike- no, but I'm fairly mechanically inclined. If you are not then I would shy away from ownership unless you have the income to keep it maintained professionally.
