![]() Too many variables to tell you what it is worth. is it low mileage, exceptionally clean, damaged, or raggy looking? Any maintenance history is helpful also. Check N.A.D.A. and see what the generally go for, and make a decision based on that.

Then start there and work your way downward.

![]() This economy simply doesn't support top values. I know that everyone thinks their old bike is worth its weight in gold and should resell as new, but that's just too bad for people and their ridiculous expectations. I would low ball that 7K by 2K and see what the guy sez.

Shovelheads have attained collectable status. Their value will only increase.

Maybe but you'll notice that these bikes aren't moving either. Give it time. They will be desperate in a few months when the finance company is breathing down their necks. And, no, I don't have sympathy for people who buy way over their heads.

It isn't just Shovels, but everything. I did manage to land a very sweet 72 Ironhead for a song, but I had ot do some smooth talking ot get that one. People just aren't dumping them like I thought they would.

![]() 1947BigDog,
The RK is probably the better bike for the cross-country, anyhow.
