Obama Will Destroy America!

Obama gave a pretty fancy speech the other night. It sounded good, it sounded great, actually. But we can't be fooled anymore. That's why I've taken the time to go through the transcript of his speech and ferret out the secret agenda, buried in his eloquent speech. It's a little long, but take a minute and try to get through it. I've highlighted some of the worst parts. You need to know what that slimy bastard is really up to:

Recovery Plan:
As soon as I took office, I asked this Congress to send me a recovery plan by President’s Day that would put people back to work and put money in their pockets. Not because I believe in bigger government – I don’t. Not because I’m not mindful of the massive debt we’ve inherited – I am. I called for action because the failure to do so would have cost more jobs and caused more hardships. In fact, a failure to act would have worsened our long-term deficit by assuring weak economic growth for years...this plan will save or create 3.5 million jobs. More than 90% of these jobs will be in the private sector – jobs rebuilding our roads and bridges; constructing wind turbines and solar panels; laying broadband and expanding mass transit.

Taxes:
95% of the working households in America will receive a tax cut – a tax cut that you will see in your paychecks beginning on April 1st.We will also end the tax breaks for the wealthiest 2% of Americans. But let me perfectly clear, because I know you’ll hear the same old claims that rolling back these tax breaks means a massive tax increase on the American people: if your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increased a single dime. I repeat: not one single dime. In fact, the recovery plan provides a tax cut – that’s right, a tax cut – for 95% of working families. And these checks are on the way. That is why this budget looks ahead ten years and accounts for spending that was left out under the old rules – and for the first time, that includes the full cost of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. For seven years, we have been a nation at war. No longer will we hide its price

Energy:
We will double this nation’s supply of renewable energy in the next three years. We have also made the largest investment in basic research funding in American history – an investment that will spur not only new discoveries in energy, but breakthroughs in medicine, science, and technology. We will invest fifteen billion dollars a year to develop technologies like wind power and solar power; advanced biofuels, clean coal, and more fuel-efficient cars and trucks built right here in America.

Auto Industry:
We are committed to the goal of a re-tooled, re-imagined auto industry that can compete and win. Millions of jobs depend on it. Scores of communities depend on it. And I believe the nation that invented the automobile cannot walk away from it. (Har har har, what a fool!)

Health Care:
...causes a bankruptcy in America every thirty seconds. By the end of the year, it could cause 1.5 million Americans to lose their homes. In the last eight years, premiums have grown four times faster than wages. And in each of these years, one million more Americans have lost their health insurance. Our recovery plan will invest new technology that will reduce errors, bring down costs, ensure privacy, and save lives.

Education:
Three-quarters of the fastest-growing occupations require more than a high school diploma. And yet, just over half of our citizens have that level of education. We have one of the highest high school dropout rates of any industrialized nation. And half of the students who begin college never finish. We know the countries that out-teach us today will out-compete us tomorrow. I ask every American to commit to at least one year or more of higher education or career training. This can be community college or a four-year school; vocational training or an apprenticeship. But whatever the training may be, every American will need to get more than a high school diploma. And dropping out of high school is no longer an option. It’s not just quitting on yourself, it’s quitting on your country.

Deficit
I pledged to cut the deficit in half by the end of my first term in office. My administration has also begun to go line by line through the federal budget in order to eliminate wasteful and ineffective programs. As you can imagine, this is a process that will take some time. But we’re starting with the biggest lines. We have already identified two trillion dollars in savings over the next decade.

Well, there you have. That purty marble-mouthed gun hater is clearly out to ruin America. Only by throwing aside two centuries of democracy and declaring war on the traitors in this great country who elected this foreign-born agent of socialism can we survive. Open you eyes. Act NOW!

EEEEEKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!

Buzglyd 02-27-2009 07:58 AM

Like I said, he's sure got a purty mouth.

Now if you'll just evaluate him on what he actually does, rather than the non-stop BS that issues forth from his lips.

I just can't understand this cult of personality thing. He's not THAT good!

Some people are afraid to speak ill of a black man.

BrowningBAR 02-27-2009 09:31 AM

Really? You really felt the need to copy and paste PR crap from another website? Kenneth, you are better than that.

Bottom line is that we need Obama to succeed, because if the bailouts and huge amounts of promised funds do not work to turn around the economy we are going to have a lot more problems that anything we are experiencing right now.

But, by targeting firearms I am no longer giving him the benefit of the doubt. I reframed from taking shots about him throughout the election and the first month. But by targeting firearm so quickly in his administration, while so many other problems exist, illustrates to me that his decision making skills are no better than the past administration.

mscuddy 02-27-2009 09:46 AM

Wait a second?

Is this the same Ken Moore who chided all of us other MOfos for exposing Barak for what he actually is, way before the election? A traitorous worm? His "change" for America is bringing us down a few notches to a place like Canada, or France.

I really don't see him finishing out his term, what with all the patriots willing to sacrifice themselves to save this great land teetering on the brink of social faschism. I hate to quote a tired cliche', but "freedom is never free", and we'll soon learn that painfull lesson again I fear.

Lots of luck Barak, you'll need it.

Oh, and as a treat when you visit Canada, you'll get a flyby of Russian Bears to make you feel safe.

Um, no. He was being sarcastic.

acecycleins 02-27-2009 10:12 AM

Let's break it down

The Recovery Plan (or redistribution plan as we Conservitives call it):
...this plan will save or create 3.5 million jobs. More than 90% of these jobs will be in the private sector – jobs rebuilding our roads and bridges; constructing wind turbines and solar panels; laying broadband and expanding mass transit.
Horseh!t. Every one of those jobs may be bid out to private sector companies but they ARE gummit contracts- making you a contracted US employee. Also, they are almost exclusively short-term employment. How does that create a stable work sector?
Taxes:
95% of the working households in America will receive a tax cut
That's right. Hike the taxes on the very people that are supposed to be employing you. 65% (maybe more) of small business owners are not set up as corporations. They pay salaries and expenses on income that they claim as "personal". If the McDonald's owner down the street does this isn't it entirely possible that his tax return will show WELL OVER the stated $250K annual that PresBO wants to tax. If he's paying more in taxes is he hiring? Hell no! He firing and even looking to sell the business.
Also, you can't give 95% of the people a tax cut if 50% aren't on the tax rolls in the first place. Love the fuzzy math.
Energy:
We will invest fifteen billion dollars a year to develop technologies like wind power and solar power; advanced biofuels, clean coal, and more fuel-efficient cars and trucks built right here in America.
Wonderful! Instead of letting true corporate competition happen to develop the next technology BIG Brother will be there to make sure you do it in a way that makes them look like they actually did something for the good of the people. Once again, gummit controlled private sector advancement is not as efficent as straight up competitive capitalism. Where's are damn Car Czar already- we've spent 100 years building cars and we need direction. Give me a break.
Auto Industry:
We are committed to the goal of a re-tooled, re-imagined auto industry that can compete and win. Millions of jobs depend on it. Scores of communities depend on it. And I believe the nation that invented the automobile cannot walk away from it.
Let it die. GM needs to shut down. Someone will buy the fire sale left-overs. When you let gummit dictate industry you get communisim. It's that simple. Do you want the Fed to tell you what you're allowed to drive? Say goodbye to the entire off-road industry within 5 yrs if this happens. Not to mention that if I need a truck I shouldn't have to have permission to get one. Letting the Fed control this sector would be the nest worst thing that can happen outside of nationalizing banking. Which is coming, too.
Healthcare:
In the last eight years, premiums have grown four times faster than wages. And in each of these years, one million more Americans have lost their health insurance.
You know what causes insurance premiums to go up. Fed regulations that make no sense. If we were allowed to buy health insurance like an al-acart menu premiums would go down drastically. Instead prefectly healthy young people are paying for things that they don't need or don't need, yet. Your paying for services that will not be utilized all the time. Look at your policy of the things you are covered for and I'll bet steaks that you could pick 3-8 things that don't apply to you. Remember- I'm a trained professional in insurance.
Thinking that gummit can handle healthcare when they can't handle ANYTHING ELSE is lunacy.
Education:
I'm not quoing on this one, but will point out some things. 1- Teacher's Unions are probably the most dangerous entity outside of our Fed gummit. 2- Why do we think that Gummit Education is better than a private one? March you little soldiers off for indoctrination. They will comply and be: Well, the dumb ass kids that voted for PresBO in the first place.
Fact- Not all kids are destin for college. Why try? We need technical school enrollees anyway. Teach a trade and save us all time and money. Fact- Not all kids want to go to college. Yet, we force this notion that they must or they will be failures. Tom Welder isn't going to be needing that calculus background- ask Jesse James or Paul Jr if they needed calculus. Teach the basics in math and move on for that group of kids.
Also, as a tax paying citizen wouldn't it be nice to use your tax money designated for your local failing school and move it to a school that your kids actually has a fighting chance in? Just curious. Moving on.
Deficit:
Yep- W screwed the pooch because he forgot how to spell VETO on many things. Yep- the GOP managed to actually grow gummit instead of shinking it, but believing that the DEMS will control spending is absolutely hilarious. There is NO WAY in blue hell that PresBO can recove this spending spree in ANY term. If he did manage to make a dent taxes for EVERYONE will have to be raised. Not to mention the fact that he's spending at a higher rate than W was. Do that fuzzy math!
We ain't getting out of this alive. Our great grandkids will be paying the tab for all these wonderful gummit funded excersices. Maybe it's time to break the country into territories. Let the liberals and conservitives have seperate ruling institutions. We have two American Constitutions- one for the originalist and one for the people that believe the constitution can change on a whim. The only unifying force between us would be our military. We use two presidents and congresses and when things come to an impass when working on something jointly we have a single Prime Minister that can decide the winner or compromise. That Prime Minister is the one that decides the declaration of war with a vote between the two congresses just as the current system works.
That's all. I'll be good now.

seruzawa 02-27-2009 11:20 AM

What's the Kool-aid flavor this month, Kenneth?

I doubt that I've ever heard as much gold-plated bullshyt in one place than I heard from that liar you worship.

Obamalama let the USS Cole bombers go. You support a traitor.

Yes, as I stated, I went and found an exact transcript of his speech so I could accurately report the ruinous plans this manic has for us. We must understand our enemy. We can't just throw around loose talk, we have to pin down exactly what he said so we can see just how disasterous these plans really are. I wasn't being lazy; it's too important to get it wrong by paraphrasing. That's why I cut and pasted his own words.

Kenneth_Moore 02-27-2009 12:07 PM

Every one of those jobs may be bid out to private sector companies but they ARE gummit contracts- making you a contracted US employee. Also, they are almost exclusively short-term employment. How does that create a stable work sector?

You are so right. We've seen again and again how public works projects like the Interstate Highway system, the TVA, the Space Program, the Panama Canal, the trans-continental railroad, and similar government funded, privately contracted projects have been dismal failures. What's next, are they going to waste our dollars on roads and bridges? It's insane.

Taxes:
95% of the working households in America will receive a tax cut
That's right. Hike the taxes on the very people that are supposed to be employing you.

Again, if only those fools would look at how well we've done with the the Republican strategy of slashing taxes on the richest 2%! What are they trying to do, ruin this booming economy we have? Don't they realize that the multi-trillion dollar deficit that's resulted from those tax cuts gives us huge leverage with the Chinese? If they make one wrong move, we laugh in their faces and say: "HAHAHA, just try and collect on those T-Bills we've been selling you for the last decade." That'll teach 'em. Besides, if you give those 95% more money, they'll just throw it away on stupid stuff like homes, college for their kids, cars, teevees, and other stupid stuff. The rich people know what to do with the money, and they've proven it beyond a shadow of a doubt over the last year.

Also, you can't give 95% of the people a tax cut if 50% aren't on the tax rolls in the first place. Love the fuzzy math.

Ain't that a riot? Obama can't even tell the difference between "95% of the working households" and "the entire population of the country...including kids, senior citizens, etc. He's so stupid.

Energy:
Instead of letting true corporate competition happen to develop the next technology BIG Brother will be there to make sure you do it in a way that makes them look like they actually did something for the good of the people.

Boy, you got that right. When the government funded the development of the aircraft and airline industries with mail contracts, it was a dismal failure. When the goverment funded the space program, did we get one single useful weather satellite or communications satellite out of it? When the government funded DARAPA, did we get something useful like a high-speed network to connect our computers? Failure after failure after failure.

Right you are! Besides, we can buy nice Korean, Japanese, and European cars and bikes! Who needs heavy industry in the US? And if we do get in a big war someday, we can count on those same allies to provide us with the heavy weapons, tanks, and planes we need. Industry and building stuff here in the US is just stupid. Fu<k Detroit and those stinky factories!

Healthcare:
If we were allowed to buy health insurance like an al-acart menu premiums would go down drastically. Instead prefectly healthy young people are paying for things that they don't need or don't need, yet.

No arguing that point. It's stupid to care for our parents when they get old and sick. I'm fine, why should I pay extra so my Mom can get medical care just because she didn't save tens of thousands to cover her medical costs? It's so unfair. I say we let the poor old people die, they just clog up the roads and stores anyway.

Education:
I'm not quoing on this one, but will point out some things. 1- Teacher's Unions are probably the most dangerous entity outside of our Fed gummit. 2- Why do we think that Gummit Education is better than a private one?

Yeah, if you can't afford a good school for your kids, well that's just too f'ing bad! They'll just have to go to some crack-ridden hell-hole where they can learn how to be criminals. Then we can keep the prison industry booming like it is today. It's not like we have a rich tradition of equality of educational opportunity in this country...it's always been our belief that poor people deserve to be that way and rich people should get richer because God likes them better.

We have two American Constitutions- one for the originalist and one for the people that believe the constitution can change on a whim.

You nailed this one! Now, we can get the n!ggers back on the plantations picking cotton again, just like the Founding Fathers planned for us. And these f'ing women, VOTING? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Every single word, law, and concept of the Constitution is just as valid today as it was 200+ years ago. We don't need to change a THING!

Love ya! Mean it!! (But don't tell Kim she doesn't get to vote anymore. She might get annoyed with you...)

I can't put forth the energy to bash one idiotic politician when they are all f**king with the economy at the same time and stealing from our bank accounts to fund their special needs. BUT, to back one and say he is going to change it all is just sad.

And yes, you DO sound like KP right now.

acecycleins 02-27-2009 01:48 PM

It's a mistake

The infra-structure jobs do not last a life-time. Not in the offer PresBO made to us. His vision is a giant temporary work-force to fix some things for feel good effort. He's trying to sell you on the fact that this is a remedy. It's a band-aid.

Furthermore, every project you listed could have been accomplished by private industry. It may help to have the Fed funds when those industries started, but the same thing could have and would have been accomplished without goverment allocation. In some cases, even faster and more efficently.

You can't seriously buy that whole tax relief lie? Almost 50% of Americans do not pay federal income tax. If you tax the people that employ us (the top 15%) what the hell do you think will happen? I've stated on this very site that unemployment will reach 10% within his first two years in office. I really think it could happen by the 4th quarter now. Small business owners are bailing out in wholesale fashion. The only segment of employment that is growing is Public (Government) jobs. HOW IS THIS GOOD?

Here we are sucking the hind teet of Lady Liberty. She's either crying or laughing- the French did make her and look at them now.

Every country has had their National Auto makers change hands with exception of us and Japan. If Ford pulls through they can be the home team. Chrysler hasn't been American owned in a long time. Nobody cares. With the exception of nostalgia why should it make a difference if GM is sold or even in business? Capitalism is how it was born- it's how it should die.

Nobody wants to die from lack of healthcare, but the system should be designed where I can buy what I want until my needs change. If your mom goes through life healthy and buys her healthcare coverage based on that and her situation changes there should be provisions to allow for adjustment without penalty with the exception of premium increased based on needs. If your 20yo and you pick a plan based on a couple of trips a year for check-ups your premium should reflect that. If your asthmatic or you have high blood pressure buy based off needs. Why's that so hard?

Also, heathcare industry as a whole takes a beating in frivolous lawsuits. Tort reform- loser pays system would correct that and premiums will decrease.

Your energy rebut was so easy- please refer to paragraph two part about private sector development. No one said they didn't like the handouts, but everything could be accomplished without the guiding hand of politicians.

Your average school district collects about $12k per kid to educate them. What if you could take your part of your kids funding and put it to use in a school that DOESN'T SUCK. What a deal- get your kid educated with money that your district is wasting.

I didn't say anything about race or religion. Conservitives (regardless of what libs believe) come in different races, religions, or sexual preferences.

I think that what started out as a society based on rule of law and constitutional government with little involvement from the Federal level has drastically moved into a different direction. I want to go back. If those people that believe Big Gummit is the answer to all import questions of life what and want to live like that then they can divide up the states into the groups that want it as it was originally intended and those that don't.

You can switch sides if you like and you can work on either side. But I shouldn't be EXPECTED to shoulder the responsibility of those that will not lift a finger to help themselves. I don't believe it's the governments place to make me do it. If I choose to donate time, money or resources to a Cause it's my choice.

If you think that people need to be told how to take care of those in need then I understand, but I will always disagree. We are the most generous people on the Earth. The gummit doesn't need to metal in that by forcing us to take care of one another. We do it naturally.

The written meaning of the Constitution is not what it was even 40 years ago. It's changed everytime the Supreme's come up with a ruling that is contrary to the document. But I won't get into Law here. I only play a lawyer on TV.

BTW- Those big evil oil, pharmicudical, and bank companies donate millions of dollars on resources and in cash to help those that need it. Damn them for making profits.

So there!

Look, this site has thread after thread putting Obama somewhere between Satan and the Anti-Christ. I've seen threads proposing civil war for chrissakes. I don't kiss anyone's ass, I don't worship anybody, but I see some merit in many of Obama's ideas. NOT ALL OF THEM, but many.

I do think there are some good ideas in that speech, and that it's worthwhile to put up both points of view. This wouldn't be much fun if we all sat around agreeing with each other on everything from bikes to politics. I like to call it "Fair and Balanced" (I made that up).

I'm ok with y'all ripping into it, as long as we keep it from becoming personal and focus on the issues. Kirk did a great response, I came back with another viewpoint. You and I did the same on ABS and other issues. Probably nobody changes their point of view in the long run, but we're better for having had the interaction.

Of course he's the anti-christ. He came out of nowhere all slick and polished pouring kool-aide for everyone and the masses fell all overthemselves to 'mooch his butt.

Now he's in there under the guise of trying to unravel the mess he inherited kicking over sacred cows and rewarding his followers while fleecing the last bits of silver from the great unwashed.......Why Nostrodamus himself predicted this guy's coming.

I'm sure the tub thumpers and snake charmers are in a frenzy by now packin' their sh*t for the resurection.

acecycleins 02-27-2009 03:22 PM

PresBO as a person is probably a pretty cool guy. The type of guy you would go to the ball game with and throw down beers. But his perception of the position of government in our daily lives does not run in a direction I want to go. His intent to help via government intervention isn't how our government is supposed to work. Not that the last 6 Presidents have helped any, but Bill was conservative in comparison and Kennedy was down right Ragan before Ragan.
Our financial markets caved to pressures from outside groups to make loans that 15ys ago would have been unheard of. The only way to correct that is to let the banks fail. Let the people be foreclosed on and return those sectors of people back to where they belong. As renters. The "greedy" crap that is spewed is a joke when you look at the lies these people facilitated in obtaining the loans. Most of the buyers that are in trouble are the very people that should have never qualified for the loans in the first place.
Sorry for the kids of these stupid parents, but that's why apartments and rental property exsist. It not anybody's job to pay for another's mistakes or lapses in judgement.

mscuddy 02-27-2009 05:33 PM

Cut 'n Paste from Fox News....

Cognitive Dissonance – def. The state of having inconsistent thoughts, beliefs, or attitudes.

President Obama’s Defense Budget - def. The inconsistent belief that we can end the Iraq War, win the Afghanistan War, increase the size of the Army and Marines, raise pay and benefits to the troops and cut defense spending.

President Obama’s Iraq Policy – def. The inconsistent attitude that everything about President Bush’s Iraq policy was wrong, but we are now able to withdraw, and leave behind a self-sustaining democracy in the heart of the Arab Middle East.

President Obama’s address to Congress was one of the most brilliant pieces of oratory in a generation. But the parts dealing with Pentagon spending and our withdrawal from Iraq are at odds with reality. Quite simply, the words and the deeds don’t match up.

Obama promises cuts in defense spending. Without getting specific, he claims we will save money by withdrawing from Iraq and eliminating new weapons systems. That’s true. It won’t give him a lot of savings, certainly not enough to help plug the budget gap, but it will help. But what he’s not telling you about is the additional spending required to do the other things he mentions. Let’s break it down.

There is only one way Obama can cut defense spending –- by pulling out of Afghanistan. If he does, it will mean the only military success he has to crow about is Iraq –- Bush’s War. Because even though Iraq has cost us far too much in lives and treasure, we leave behind a self-sustaining democracy in the heart of the Middle East. Not because of Obama, but because Bush’s Surge Strategy succeeded. Oops.

First, our Marine and Army units are seriously depleted after seven years of war. Most of their equipment is worn out and needs retooling, repairing and replacing. He might choose not to make those units “whole”, but not if he plans to divert some of them to Afghanistan this spring. So far he’s talked about sending in 17,000 troops, perhaps to be followed by more. They need to go in with equipment and spare parts. That will add to defense spending.
Second, Obama plans to add 100,000 troops to the Army and Marines. That’s 100,000 additional men and women who will need training and equipment. That will add to defense spending.

Third, as we ramp up in Afghanistan we can expect, sadly, an increase in casualties. As we saw with the surge in Iraq, things got worse before they got better. Increased casualties are not only tragic, but providing them with adequate care and benefits is expensive. That will add to defense spending.

And those are just direct military costs. There will be additional spending needed to pay for Obama’s ‘soft power’ plans. In that part of the world, money talks. General Petraeus has indicated we will push for a Sunni Awakening-type effort with the Afghan tribes. That it will require additional monies and outlays to the tribal leaders to pay for their militias, and regional reconstruction programs.
So, in fact, Obama will have to increase defense spending, not cut it, if he plans to ramp up in Afghanistan.

Oops.

Sorry, Mr. President, you can’t have it all.

PS: By the way, Mr. President. Your pledge to cut ‘unnecessary’ weapons systems is probably a good idea, but it will cost American jobs.

It's just an opinion, relax

Through history spending on war has brought down many a nation state.
America's paradigm is to disparate to find a solution in SW and Central Asia.
A surge by definition is a temporary thing. Grudges are more permanent.
Alexander the Great pulled out of Afghanistan.
OEF was strategicly blundered. OIF was a dilution of combat power and purpose.
Shineski was right, Zunni was right and even Cheney was right in 1991.
Cutting the F-22 is a fools play. Air power will be decisive in the "important war".
Does no one read Sun Tsu...

Cuddy, you read my mind. The only reason an Iraq pullout is possible is that we won. Yes Kenny, we won in Iraq. The first win since WWII. George Bush's war. The Dems can't stand it, and won't admit it. Compare the Vietnam pullout to this one and the difference is night and day: the difference between a win and a loss.

Yeah. Two wrongs make a right.

We aren't talking about Bush. Bush is history. We are talking about Obama.

None of the laws that enable your complaints about Bush are being repealed = Democrat hypocrisy.

Obamalama:
Releases terrorists.
Gives "State of the Union" speech that says one thing while actually doing another.
Spent 2 decades listening to hate America sermons.
Disciple of "Destroy Amerikkka" terrorist Bill Ayers.
Nationalizes banks.

Etc etc.

Ever heard of "magical thinking"? There is no magical plan to make Zero's promises happen. His history proves he intends to bring free enterprise crashing down and replace it with totalitarian socialism. He is engaging on war on the middle class using class warfare to pretend it's war on the rich.

What's the Kool-aid flavor?

But, I'll be nice and give good advice anyhow.

Buy Food. Buy gold. Buy guns. You'll need them.

Saying "we won" in Iraq is like giving a medal to an arsonist for putting out the fire he started. And you have to sort of gloss over the charred remains of the dead people in the ashes.

Two wrongs don't make a right, but calling Obama a traitor because he's closing Gitmo, compared to what's been going on the last 8 years, is ridiculous.

If I need food and guns it won't be because of Obama, it will be to fight off the Private Military Companies...the ones I hope Obama will dismantle ASAP.
