Yeah, really. Looks like the R1 is the new Harley-Davidson--everyone's copying it!!

that's an insult to the R1, calling it the new harley davidson.

half the pics are studio shots, so there's a little more going on than just catching somone at a gas station!

personally, i'm waiting for the 900 hornet to surface... or if aprilia is going to go up against the sv (also on motorcyclenews.com).. that would be great. new bikes are much more interesting that updated bikes... but i suppose new ones are on their way... the waiting is killing me!

Actually, I think that the studio-looking shot is just a shot from the street with the background covered over with white. If you notice, the lighting still appears to be more like the random reflections from outdoors that the controlled soft-lighting of a studio.

Besides, all the shots are way over-exposed, so much of the color is gone and the background is non-exsistant. (if you notice the top shot on the page has something in the bg).

as for the one shot near the bottom, that is the old fireblade.

I certainly hope Honda has finally rolled out the big guns to take top sport bike honors. The R1 has had the crown (with just deserve) since its introduction 3+ years ago and new Gixxer 1000 (by many accounts has it now). The 929 was a nice bike but was just too rushed to take top honors.

As a long time Honda rider I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one. Looks I don't care. It has to have the performance, handling, and braking. It MUST have ram air. Come on Big Red!

Only 2 days late. MO's getting quicker. The Motorad had it on Monday, and the Brits yesterday.

We can't get everything right away. We try, though. Tight circles some of these things are in. Keep in mind that there are still a number of sites whithout the info. Still, we'll keep on trying...

streetlegal,

These pics were snapped at a filling station in BRITAIN. Motocycle News is a BRITISH e-zine... of course they had it first.
