This is great. The number of motorcycle manufactures coming back 'on line' after years out of the loop is great. Even if i cannot afford one, it's nice to have them around.

Is MV going to race the MV Augusta?



Seeing more teams on the grid will be great.

It is great seeing the Benelli name back in the fray with something other than the "Sei" Honda knockoff six cylinder bike. I think the 900cc triple has a more realistic chance of success in WSB than the MV would ever have. The biggest problem for the MV is the radial valve layout does not have good thermal efficency, as Ferrari has found out in World Sports Car endurance racing with it's F333(?) cars that loose on the order of 150-225 hp after a limited time on the track, due to cooling problems associated with the radial valve configuration.



This may not prove a problem in the motorcycles, as it has in the cars.



In any matter, I look forward to seeing them on the track again.

Cooling problems? I didn't know radial valve configs led to that. Can you explain? Is it an airflow thing or that they have less coolant passage area?

Race the Augusta F4? Heck no!! They're smoking some hard stuff if they plan on it. Everyone who's tested that bike says it's nice... but nothing a GSXR750 couldn't pound into the asphalt in a couple laps. I think that's more of a trophy bike than a Duc-slayer or anything else.
