![]() If the state does not require an m class for scooter use, then they should be considered seperate. Just the fact that someone has the m class license creates the assumption (dangerous word there) that they know enough about operating a motorcycle to stay alive, unless of course they do something stupid. Besides, if the accident rates for scooters are that much higher seperating the two into different categories would likely tell quite the tale.

![]() It does seem silly to group the two, but I doubt there's ultimately much impact on our rates, which are typically driven by (I think) cost of replacement in addition to accident risk. While there may be a lot of scooter mishaps, I doubt they result in the usual $3k minimum bill to replace the damaged plastic / titanium / chrome from your bike. Unless, of course, the scooter mishap entailed running into and damaging the plastic / titanium / chrome from your bike.

![]() Here's a very simple criterion for y'all. If you can wear a dress while ridin' it, it ain't no motor-sicle, and you should leave it where ya found it or go put on a dress like the nancy boy y'are and go scoot away on your scooter ya fruiter!

![]() Separate them. If the state doesn't think they are motorcycles (no M class licence) they shouldn't be lumped in. Or require that the operator have a M class licence.
I'll bet the insurance companies screw us anyway. They'll just raise the rates for everyone. |
