Re: Be a Motorcycle Tycoon
Oh no! buell has competition. If that YX250 gets imported the Blast sales will plummet :)

Re: Be a Motorcycle Tycoon
I'll bet cars wouldn't tailgate if you had an outboard motor strapped to you instead of a backpack.

Re: Be a Motorcycle Tycoon
Made in China!?! I don't think I could trust a moped put together by 10 year olds.

Re: Be a Motorcycle Tycoon
Are these bikes completely domestically produced or are they Suzuki engined? At least it doesn't look like they are selling the 750cc flathead knock-offs of pre-WWII BMWs.
If the quality is anything like their domestically produced aircraft I'll be sure to pass on this one. At least they promise that their bikes come complete with an engine that includes a crankshaft, connecting rod and even a carburetor. (Does this place them ahead of HD?) Although I'd like to learn how you produce a 125cc twin that has only one clyinder. |
Re: Be a Motorcycle Tycoon
Local cycle shop just started selling Zong Shen bikes. Interesting, inexpensive low displacement alternative bikes.
It seems that Zong Shen has been making parts for Honda for decades. Finally decided to assemble their own knock-offs. Perhaps the bikes you've been riding were made by 10 year olds all along? |
Re: Be a Motorcycle Tycoon
Apparently the Chinese motorcycles are just as inscrutable as their makers.

Re: Be a Motorcycle Tycoon
Never ridden a Honda. Plus if I go to Jack in the Box and eat one of their infamous rat burgers I think I'd rather not know.

knock-offs?
These Chinese 750 cc bikes (have a side-car and 22kW blasting power at 4000 RPM) are actually copies of Russian 750 cc Urals. Those in turn are copies of pre-WWII BMWs. We are talking about knock-offs of knock-offs. So you thought H-D is not cutting edge, think again.

Re: Be a Motorcycle Tycoon
Please note the 250 is a front wheel drive cruiser!
