I wonder what the drag coefficient penalty is when you ride around with balls that large.

I don't know about vertigo but Vrods are pretty damn fast.

I think like landing gear they would lift back into the rider the faster he went. And drop back down after the ride.

So inconclusion I would estimate the drag as insignifcant.

Vrod is a fast cruiser only if you think cruising is a 8000 rpm thing. But real cruising at some 3000-5000 rpm delivers wheeny 35-65 hp on the rear wheel. That is not fast. Rocket III gives 80-120 hp in the same rev range, that is fast but not vertigo.

Maybe they could package the modifications and sell it as a kit to the squids. They could call it the "Busa Darwin Kit"

"Bidness" takes me to Charlotte & Mooresville a bit more often than I'd like - fine up there, but the drive from here to there and back is just miserable. But I digress....you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a race shop, keweeel fab shop, etc., in most industrial areas up there. Mighty fine area to be stuck a-workin'.
