Re: Repeal of Motorcycle Helmet Law Gets Preliminary Approval in House.
The simple fact is that helmet laws protect the rest of us from you no-helmet schmucks who hike up our insurance. Every claim filed raises the rates for the rest of us. Grow up and show some social responsibility.
p.s. I wear a full face helmet AND ride a harley in CA and AZ |
Re: Repeal of Motorcycle Helmet Law Gets Preliminary Approval in House.
"Not wearing a helmet is not just a personnal choice: You may not care much if you are left with only half of your brains but I do because I will end up paying for your poor choice. "
Really? So having kids shouldnÂ’t be a personal choice either the cost of their schooling is a burden to the whole tax paying community too Â… right Einstein? Finally, how can you justify forcing people to wear a seat belt but not a helmet?" I donÂ’t. |

Oh hell, we do it for Ksquid/KPaul, might as well do it for everyone else...

Re: I agree I think we found the anti-kpaul
Any chance we can dress the two of you up in old school gladiator outfits and have you fight to the death?
Two men enter, one man leaves, and all that type of Mad Max stuff. I'm guessin' you're a bit younger than Bigdx, so you might have that going for you. Start rubbing on some Clear and Cream to bulk up. |
Re: Repeal of Motorcycle Helmet Law Gets Preliminary Approval in House.
I don't wear a helmet, but my riding suit is from a 1992 Gwar tour. Nothing but huge fecal covered metal spikes attached to my head, breast, neck and chest.
If I wreck, I'm taken someone out with me! |
Re: Repeal of Motorcycle Helmet Law Gets Preliminary Approval in House.
But they started it!!!!

What's a ricer?
I just think it's funny that people still use the term "ricer".

Re: Repeal of Motorcycle Helmet Law Gets Preliminary Approval in House.
Once again the same tired debate. OK, helmets should be a personal choice. Let's forget the statistical arguments pro and con. However, should the underwriters elect to charge additional premium for those who opt not to wear helmets, it must be a pool assessment and not a general increase to all cyclists. Can we finally put this issue to bed?

Re: Repeal of Motorcycle Helmet Law Gets Preliminary Approval in House.
So there isn't a difference between burning up some curves on a desolate road, and doing the same speed jumping in and out of traffic on the freeway in downtown LA? While both are on public roads, I assume you can see a difference.
Yes I know that anything over 20 mph can be fatal on a motorcycle, but I also know that acting the idiot on a bike will put you in the ground faster than going 100 plus on the track. I'm 40 years old, and have been riding for over 20 years. I have three set of leathers, and 5 helmets. While I wear everything 99% of the time, I don't feel the government has a right to tell me what to do. I am not arguing whether or not helmets or seatbelts save lives, I'm saying it's my choice to wear either. I do wear them, but the government doesn't need to hold my hand to protect me. |
