Zero Motorcycle Used As Camera Platform In Deadpool

If you’ve seen Deadpool, you’ll remember the chase and fight scene that took place on an urban expressway bridge. Naturally, the scene was made even better by having motorcycle-riding bad guys. This video shows that the coolest motorcycle in the fight wasn’t even seen. It was the camera platform. The production crew modified a Zero to carry a camera and all of its support technology in multiple positions on the motorcycle, giving fluid camera tracking in and out of both moving and stopped cars . The video is well worth a minute and forty seconds of your day.

Like most of the best happenings in his life, Evans stumbled into his motojournalism career. While on his way to a planned life in academia, he applied for a job at a motorcycle magazine, thinking he’d get the opportunity to write some freelance articles. Instead, he was offered a full-time job in which he discovered he could actually get paid to ride other people’s motorcycles – and he’s never looked back. Over the 25 years he’s been in the motorcycle industry, Evans has written two books, 101 Sportbike Performance Projects and How to Modify Your Metric Cruiser, and has ridden just about every production motorcycle manufactured. Evans has a deep love of motorcycles and believes they are a force for good in the world.

Oh my! Wow am I impressed. The technical skill to carry an extra 80 lbs! And ride a whole distance of 30 feet! Pushing the envelope here aren't they? So how much does your girlfriend weigh?

Blocking is fun... been there and still do it but on corporate accts now. In the "industry" since 76 and what they say they are doing is nothing special. I'm only impressed when I know a shooter did it by hand and not technical artifice. But that's just me. Want to test a Zero anyway and not as a shooter.

As headlines go, this is marginally more interesting than "Cedar Falls HS Junior Named Iowa State Fair Corn Queen."
