Getting disabled veterans out on the open road

We at MO hope everyone enjoyed a safe and fun Veterans Day this past weekend. We also hope everyone remembers why we celebrate Veterans Day, to honor those who have served in our military and those currently serving. To that point, since we were out celebrating our vets yesterday, we’d like to share this inspiring video recap from Can-Am and the Road Warrior Foundation of their 2018 Road Warrior Ride.

The Road Warrior Foundation utilizes powersports of all types for what they call adventure therapy, in order to create a positive influence on disabled veterans lives. The Road Warrior Ride, which just finished its fifth annual tour, gives veterans a chance to get out on the road together, regardless of disabilities, for a trip of a lifetime on Can-Am Spyders.

This year’s ride began in San Jose, CA and ended in San Antonio, TX. The ride spanned eight days and nearly 2,200 miles through all sorts of spectacular southwestern landscapes. The video above showcases the camaraderie between the riders and the impact the ride had on them.

We’ve had the privilege of meeting the Road Warrior Foundation’s west coast director, Kendell Madden. Madden helps with Can-Am’s press fleet when he can and is an absolutely selfless person. It’s clear that with folks like Kendell making up the staff of the Road Warrior Foundation, the organization is one hundred percent dedicated to bringing a positive impact into the lives of our veterans.

Happy Veterans Day and thank you to Can-Am and the Road Warrior Foundation for putting together another successful Road Warrior Ride for our vets.
