Archive: 2000 Yamaha R7-1 Hybrid

This street version of the hybrid was from the first batch Graves Motorsports built, when the Frankenstein scars in the frame rails, joining R7 to R1 to accommodate the bigger R1 motor, were visible. Why bother? Because the R7 frame/swingarm were said to be more 500 GP racer than streetbike, with a torsional stiffness reportedly twice that of a first-generation R1. Also adjustable steering head and swingarm pivots.
