I thought they were Great people and great bikes. Then I experienced the service department......WOW!!!!! Worst experience in my life!!! Where do I start...well I have a service plan and take my motorcycle in as recommended to avoid any serious issues because my bike is my main source of transportation. ... Less then 300 miles after it was inspected and given a clean bill of health by one of Fun Bikes technicians I notice my rear brake grinding.....I pull over...huge gouges in my rear break rotor?!?! Seriously. I have less then 4,000 miles on the bike I think. So...I call and tell them I'll bring it in Monday...because it's the first available day I have a ride home. They told me " bring it in Saturday....we have an opening and we can give you a ride." So I did...after about a 2 and a half hour wait...I got a ride home. Fast forward to Monday....service department calls tells me I was bumped for recall work on Hondas and then they tell me the catastrophic damage to my brakes and rotor were cause by me riding the rear breaks?!? I've been riding for over 30 years.....really?!?! I can't prove I don't ride the breaks so....whatever. Why did the technician not catch such terribly worn break pads?!?! Is it standard practice to send customers out the door and back on the road after a full break inspection with less then 300 miles left on the break pads?!?! Well they must have agreed somewhat because they said they would cover the labor if I paid for the parts...well I figured OK I can live with that and just to show some good faith I asked for a quote on some handlebars, mirrors and grips and said I would order through them and pay the labor on that. That was Monday March 21st 2016. I never received a call or quote on the handlebars, mirrors or any other communication about the service. Fast forward to Monday March 28, 2016. I received an email telling me my bike was in for service at 1:00 PM on March 28, 2016. I look it up and see break pads and a rear rotor are around 2 hours of labor. Foolishly I assumed that if it was in service at 1:00pm 3/28/16 for a 2 hour service it would be complete by 3/29/16 at 4:00 pm. This was entirely my fault!!! Let me repeat that....this was completely my fault. Other than the email sent to me telling me my bike was in for service I had received no communication telling me it would be ready at 4:00pm on 3/29/16. I just made the assumption that the email they sent was correct as nobody had contacted me to tell me it wasn't and that the technician could do rear break pads and rear break rotor in roughly 12 hours. Well I was wrong on both assumptions. So after not hearing from anyone at Fun Bike I again call to follow up on my bikes service. They then notify me that not only did my bike not make it into service on 3/28/16 as stated in the email they sent me it was not going to make it in for service on 3/29/16 either. Ok so at this point I've pretty much had my fill and I'm very upset and less than sympathetic...honestly I was probably down right Nasty and a jerk. I work full time...I go to class 3 days a week. So from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm at night I'm working and going to classes. My motorcycle is my main source of transportation...I got a service plan and have it inspected to avoid situations just like this. I was as personally responsible in this situation as is humanly possible. Anybody that has any questions and or concerns about this review or need more information before they do business with Fun Bike Center are more than welcome to contact me. I love Triumphs and honestly until I had to deal with the service department I Loved Fun Bike Center. I can tolerate many things but dishonestly and cold indifference to customers is something I won't tolerate. We as consumers really only have one way to fight back against this type of service...we can let others know about our experiences, try to inform other potential consumers. Next I will be contacting Triumph. I'm wondering one how my rear breaks failed so quickly and 2 why are the service technicians and dealers they are doing business with sending people out the door with less than 300 miles left on break pads. Breaks are pretty important and it almost seems criminally negligent to me. Shame on you Triumph. I always expected better product and service with the Triumph name.
