Begin Press Release:
American Honda Brings Dax 125 to U.S. Customers
- miniMOTO model honors the 1969 Trail 70 that was popular in the U.S.
- Dax 125 joins Grom, Monkey, Super Cub, Trail125 and Navi in miniMOTO lineup
September 24, 2024 — ALPHARETTA, Georgia – American Honda today confirmed that the Dax 125 (first offered to European customers for the 2023 model year but paying homage to the 1969 CT70 that was a big hit with stateside enthusiasts) will be available in the U.S. market for the 2025 model year. The Dax joins Honda's handful of mischievous, charming miniMOTO models—each small in stature but huge in appeal—that have collectively struck a chord with young and old riders alike.
"In the '70s, the Trail 70 was ubiquitous in the U.S., where its unique look—highlighted by a 'T-bone' frame, chunky tires and folding handlebar—made it easily recognizable strapped to motorhome bumpers and tooling around campgrounds," said Colin Miller, Manager of Public Relations at American Honda. "The model holds a warm spot in the hearts of many American customers, so it's appropriate that it make a return in the form of the Dax 125, which honors the original while introducing modern technology, performance and reliability. We're excited to see its reception among U.S. customers."
The Dax 125 is available in U.S. dealers in October.
2025 Dax 125
Fully owning the genuine authenticity of the beloved 1969 CT70, but bringing thoroughly 21st century performance from the chassis, engine and ergonomics, the Dax 125 comes to U.S. customers for the 2025 model year. Nostalgia obviously plays a part in the Dax's appeal to riders now in middle age—enthusiasts whose families may have owned a CT70 in their youth. That said, the retro aesthetic is equally important to younger owners; a certain style sets some machines apart, and the Dax has just that in abundance, thanks to the form of its iconic T-shaped frame. Unique, easy, usable and great fun, the Honda Dax is like a faithful old friend.
- Colors: Pearl Glittering Blue; Pearl Gray
- MSRP: $4,199

I think Honda missed the mark. Why, because its too expensive 5k after all the dealer fees. The price point should be lower and people don't need all that technology in a mini bike. Plus the style is wrong with that hideous front fender. They could of kept it simpler and shaved 1,500 off the price.
Looks great and has the retro vibes that brings back memories. The price is too high though. This is encroaching on full-size or 3/4 size motorcycles
