5000 Mile Road Trip...WOW!
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 27, 2012I test rode the Honda Goldwing before buying this machine. Chose it over the Goldwing because of comfort and price. I live in Oklahoma City and road it all the way to Key West last June. We were out of the gate two days late so our first day was 927 miles. Felt as fresh afterwards as I did before ... I got on it. Between Shreaveport and Laffette everyone was passing us so I set the cruise on 95 mpg and stayed up with everyone then. The ride was not only comfortable but the power this V-4 has is remarkable! Rode over 5000 miles that vacation. My bike is now two years old with 25K miles on it. Not one repair or problem with this bike. Everyone should be on this MC. Looking forward to this years ride to the Western Slopes of Colorado...or farther.

A superior motorcycle...
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 27, 2010The Royal Star Venture is a superior motorcycle right out of the box. It gives all of the romance of the cruiser genre to a true touring king. I have owned three of these fine machines and have never had the first mechanical issue on the road. They are smooth and powerful as well as comfortable. ... No other touring motorcycle offers the looks, reliability, and performance that the Venture does.

Who-Ra to Yamaha Venture or Tour Delux
By (I am an Owner) on May 15, 2010With the Venture and Tour Delux being like brother and sister I will put these Touring Bikes up against Harley Davidson any day of the week. Last Year was our first long tour on our Tour Delux and the rest of our group were on Harley's Now Harley sells a lot more of these bikes but in my opinion ... the Harley's are way over priced and for the money that you have to pay for a Harley they should get in the same boat and offer a 5 year warranty like Yamaha does and do it for less money. 75 or 80 % of the time when we have gone on any trip one or more of the Harley's have broke down and the Yamaha just keeps on truckin. Happy to be a Yamaha owner. Stay safe and keep it up on both wheels. J. Bryant

Leave off the "S", and stick with the Venture
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 19, 2010You guys have drank too much of the Harley kool-aid. Yes, the Ultra Glide and Honda Goldwings are great touring bikes, but to list the others ahead of the Star Venture is unrealistic. The Venture offers more room, more power and many "extras" as standard equipment for much less money. And the included ... five year warranty makes this motorcycle highly desirable for long range riders.
It has it's faults... Yamaha (Star)needs to remove the cassette player and replace it with a CD player, and make it Fuel Injected for a start, then replace this bullet-proof engine with the new V-Max powerplant to bump up the horsepower.
