  • Love this bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 12, 2010

This bike is so fun and the sound of this crossplane crank is amazing. The ride is very sophisticated for a sport bike and I it is comfortable enough to ride for a 1000 miles none stop except for gas. I would recommend to anyone.

  • bad azz bike!!!!
By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 29, 2009

i have a limited yellow 09 r1. wow! 0 to 150 is like 0 to 60 in a vet. cornering is unreal. it makes you want to fly. just went from knoxville tn to chicago il and loved it! the only way to explain the feel is for you to watch star trek. when they hit hyper space its like being on the r1.

  • 2009 YZF R1 - The new Benchmark
By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 31, 2009

I just purchased the new 2009 Yamaha YZF-R1.

    Pro's

    - Best looking bike out there

    - Cornering at high speed is childs play

    - Accelleration is fantastic

    - You feel in control at any speed

    - All round fantastic superbike that makes anything else look ...

    Con's

    - Extremely ugly looking exhaust system

    - Forget pillions

    - Not comfortable for commuting (throttle responce too much even on "B-mode")

    - bike gives off a lot of heat that could get uncomfortable at low speeds

But even so - I wont trade it for ANY othger bike out there.
