Ergonomics and Looks are this bikes strengths. It's engine is not tuned for max HP at bizzare RPM's but rather usable low and midrange torque. It is not 'just a detuned FZ6'.



Longer rides are comfortable and the seat is adjustable in height as are the handlebars fore and aft!



43mpg but I a...m getting about 40 with harder riding. Nice balance and turn in with progressive front brakes. The switchgear is silky smooth and positive and the looks are killer. Wrists, back, butt or knees not sore after riding. Read Full Review

great value for money

It's a great bike for everyday use. Riding position is up straight and I find it comfortable enough. Don't have any problems with my bike in the city traffic and relatively long runs on expressways (for me it would be ~300 miles trip with 12 stops). This bike is not too heavy and easy to handle. Fr...om the other side the engine is powerful enough to give a good acceleration and maintain the speed on highways. Since it's a new model there are not too many after market parts available, but I guess it shouldn't be a problem in the future as this model should be one of the best sellers for Yamaha. Nice and smooth

Was not really sure if I did the right thing trading in my 2005 Harley sportster 1200 custom with alot of chrome and loud pipes. I am very happy because it is smooth and fast. I only wish they had more after market parts for it. I did get the tank pad and tank bag. Cant wait to put a nice after mark...et pipe, and touring bags that velcro on and off for longs trips.
