  • Yamaha R6 as a first bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 23, 2015

New riders.. with the hopes of you becoming long time riders, spending smart, buying more bikes, and having a lifetime of fun, please read further. I am loving my R6. It has captured my heart like a woman. She tells me when I am not in perfect unison with her. When I get on the R6 I relax my arms ...

And get full leathers, used if needed, as I did. Get great road boots and proper gloves, I got mine new and the sales guy really took care of me. Get a helmet which does not crop your upper vision when you drop into the slipstream. Ask about that feature at the shop so you don't wind up buying two helmets like I did, by not asking. Now go have a great ride. PS Always shoot your photos with the camera on the ground.

By  (I am an Owner) on Apr 05, 2011

through out the course of 10 years of riding, the R6 has been the best through handling, comfort, and performance. so far everyone has said that it lacks low end power, i admit it does but can be fixed by a power commander or sprocket set. As for the seat i like the way its angled. helps me duck ...

The R6 is the first bike I've had the pleasure of riding. I originally picked the R6 over it's competitors because of how sexy the bike looks. Not only does it look good, the ride is incrediable. I haven't even began to push it to the limits because I'm a novice rider, but I fall in love with her ...

I bought my bike in April and am still riding it. I have 5200 miles on it from going to work, school, and for fun. The bike is a blast. Looks beautiful and is fun. It is meant for the track though. Not the most comfortable ride but it doesn't matter when your out there on the road. The only problem ...

By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 29, 2008

I've got about 5000 miles on my bike between commuting to work and riding for fun. I love it. I've ridden other bikes and by far this one has the best feel to it. I've made several mods as you can see in the pics. I don't have the problem a few others have had with the seat. I ride for hours without ...

To sum it up....buy this bike. 09,08,07...it doesn't matter. R6 is the bike to have.

I love this bike. I have a total of 2000 miles split between trackdays, touring and commuting to work. She lags a bit in the midrange but wails on the topend.

By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 16, 2008

The 2007 Yamaha R6 is overall a great bike. However, as many already mentioned its lacks low and mid range power. This bike is built for the track. The comfort is one of those thing I don't like about the bike. The seat is wide so it pushes your legs out wide when you you come to a stop. It's especially ...
