Decent stock sport bike. Not too fast. I'd rather spend the extra money and get the r6.

  • Great all around bike!!!
By  (I am an Owner) on Jan 24, 2010

I purchased this bike used July of 2009 as my first bike and did extensive reviews before buying.

I went from dealer to dealer sitting on diffrent sport bikes but kept coming back to YZF600R. The bike was just super comfortable and the only other bikes that felt just as good was the ...

Every sales person I spoke with told me that these bikes are legendary in the 600cc class and that the performance was great!Every review I read from owners it got great ratings.

Well I bought it and I love it! It has plenty of power for me and I can get pass pretty much any car on the road. As for bike to bike comparison's. I read somewhere the yzf600R was clocked 0-60 at 3.8 seconds and I kept up with my two more experienced buddys (05'ZX10 and 02'CBR1100XX Super Blackbird once one of the fastest bikes in th world)on a day long riding venture.

Great all around bike and I will miss her when I upgrade to the Kawasaki ZX14 in another year or so. Only thing I dont like about the bike is the styling although not terrible, I like the more aggresive styling of the newer bikes.

The YZF600R still has its original styling fom 10 years ago.
