Tons of fun so far, easy to use

I was a little bit worried, having never rode scooters too much, that the small wheel size would make potholes a dangerous obstacle. On the Zuma 50f, the tires are a bit larger than on many cheaper scooters. It handles bumps quite well.



As they say, it is definitely quite peppy. I navigate stop s...ign ridden neighborhoods quicker than most cars / trucks, and I constantly find myself riding close behind people, wishing they'd speed up a tad.

The controls are intuitive and simple. It is pretty amazing technology to me, the fact you can release the gas, and bam, the bike is in neutral, and you can roll yourself backwards if you want to.

The brakes are quite nice and responsive. The rear brakes will slow you down slowly, and the front brakes will stop you quickly. Together, they bring you to a halt quite nicely.

I've started mine up 15-20 times, and only once I had to press the button twice.

The scooter accelerates very quickly up to 35mph. After that, it will creep towards 40, and if there's not much resistance from wind, you might hit 45. I'm a small guy, and the fastest I've gone so far is around 42. However, I am new at this and so am being pretty careful out there on the road. I live in a crowded area. Read Full Review

2013 Yamaha Zuma 50F

I was a little worried that a 50cc would carry my 210 weight and maybe a second person at speed which is tops at about 40mph but it does. We mostly will use the scooter for a drag racing pit bike but I'm not afraid to get it on the back roads around my home. One thing that did bug me was that only o...ne head light works at a time depending on high or low beam. A quick web search revealed a Youtube how to and a little wiring and we have dual high and low beams. It's a fun little scooter that I really enjoy. Read Full Review
