    My 08 yzf450 is a strait monster and rides like dream so smooth and solid power.. off the floor its good but tune a few things your self and its great!

    I race expert desert, I have 100's of hrs on my bikes and have never had a mechanical failure. I owned 2004 with two seasons of desert racing not even a valve adjustment needed, sold bike and new owner still rides it all the time.

    2007 two years desert racing as well no mechnical failures, ...

    I ran theses bike hard, not even a clutches replacement, some of the bikes still had stock brake pads. Very dependable bikes current bike 09 Even had a 07 250f same story

    the 2008 yz 450f it has the best performace out of the bikes and the ride comfort is out standing.There was one problem i ran into with the reliability of the bike. The time chain was a bit off but with some ajusting it was like new.

    my buddy and I bought one the same day and rode them for 3 months until my friends didn't make it out of camp one morning. an hour later mine died and wouldn't start.we took them down to the dealership and they tore them down and they both had a defected timing chain tensioner and jumped time bent ...
