  • V Star 950 Tourer
By  (I am an Owner) on Dec 20, 2012

I purchased mine three months ago and have logged a bit over 3K miles. So far, so very good. Adequate power, decent brakes and very good looking, what else can I ask for? How about 50= MPG on a constant basis, never have gotten less but have gone as high as 54 ...

It's a great bike for the money and if it proves to be as trouble free as my BMW I'll keep it for a 150,000 miles.

  • Incredible bike for the price
By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 15, 2012

This is the best value in cruisers right now. The 950 Tourer is outfitted for almost everything you need in a light touring bike. You can't put the touring package together for the price you pay from Yamaha. The power is perfect for a daily driver in town, but also has plenty of get-up when you need ...

You may end up wanting a seat, as the stock seats are terrible. I also added progressive suspension to mine which smoothed out the ride. If you're willing to go a little extra, a slip-on muffler and an air kit will wring the last few extra horses out of this excellent motor.

All in all, the 950 Tourer is an amazing bike, especially at the current price point.
