  • V Star 950 T
By Sleepy1962 (I am an Owner) on Sep 26, 2023

Started out with a Honda 50, years ago, moved up CB 500,moved up to Suzuki 800 intruder. Moved up to 100 Anniversary harley ultra. Exceptional motorcycle. My son purchased a 2010 V start 950. He let me take it for a ride. I sold my Harley and purchased that bike from him. It is a super handling ...

Been riding a 86 Honda VT 700c. Like night and day. V Star fits me better. Purchased with 3000 miles on it. Mint/show room condition. Yamaha hit the mark.

  • Like it better than a Victory
By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 01, 2014

Bought my 2010 after I sold a 95 Intruder. That alone is in upgrade. I looked a Harleys, Suzuki, and Kawasaki but, when I found this I fell in love. Gorgeous lines, handles great, ample power and quite a head turner. My buddy owns a 2010 Victory and there is no comparison: the V Star is more comfortable ...

  • Not a bad bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 04, 2011

    Just purchased in august.

It has plenty of power, smooth ride, but when cornering the foot rests drag. you have to be careful in tight turns. overall a very nice bike.

I bought this motorcycle in January 2001. I had a Suzuki 1250 Bandit and wanted a more confortable bike. The Yamaha V Star 950 Tourer is a beutiful machine with plenty of power and easy to ride. I love it.

By  (I am an Enthusiast) on Apr 09, 2011

Purchased my 950 one year ago and have never road a smoother machine. Being a "boomer" and of short stature(5'10") I couldn't find a cycle that fit me better. As much power as needed in every situation I've been in, plenty of room in those eye catching bags with a shield that still allows you to ...

  • Nice Bike, so far.
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 13, 2010

Just bought the V-Star 950, had to upgrade for two-up riding. Went up from '81 Maxim 650, so it's a big difference. Now only have 200 miles on her, but so far she has been totally awesome compared to the little Maxim.

1- Seat a little hard but good and wide.

    2- Gentle off the ...

3- nice sound, not to soft and not to loud.

  • Purchased in April 2010
By  (I am an Owner) on May 05, 2010

Just two weeks ago, I purchased a 2010 V-Star 950 Tourer. It was an upgrade from a Honda Shadow Spirit 750. The Shadow was a lot more fun to ride, however, was not suitable for long rides. I compare the Shadow to a Corolla and the Tourer to a Camry.

A few points I would like to ...

1-I am 5'2", so I need to sit toward the front of the seat in order to manage the controls.

2-The seat is a bit hard, my behind hurt after about 75 miles of back roads in NE.

3-This bike runs HOT-This is the first week in May, ohh I can just imagine how it will feel to ride in July.

4-The floorboards will scrape, but only if you take the corners as you would in a smaller bike. It took me a short time to adjust to the turning radius in order to avoid scraping the floorboards.

5-When dipping in the road, it rattles as if the parts were all made of plastic.

6-Not very quick out of the gate, gotta ease into your speed.

7-The look-Fabulous! It causes a lot of rubbernecking.

8-Oh-this bike is quieter than my sewing machine. The dealer wouldn't let me hear it prior to paying for it...oh well, gotta upgrade.

9-This is a very honest Review.
