  • I'm A Believer in Yamaha
By  (I am an Owner) on Aug 27, 2012

Have owned my '09 Raider S since May '09. What a ride! I have over 15,000 miles on it and have even ridden The Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Blue Ridge Mtns and Natahala Gorge last summer and it didn't miss a beat. Managed the switchbacks like a dream. Most comfortable ride, well balanced ...

  • Smooth Fast Fun Nice looking bike
By  (I am an Owner) on May 15, 2012

I've had this bike for 9 months and love the look, the engine has a lot of acceleration, the bike is comfortable, and gets a lot of positive comments. I'm short so it could use more pull back on the bars and you have to change out the pipes to put any good size bags on it.

Got this brand new bike delivered last week, and managed to get a couple of decent days in winter to take her out for a short spin around the Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania neighborhood.

I got lots of looks from motorists and pedestrians and which was a clear indication that I was riding ...

I managed to take it out this afternoon on a very scenic route from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania through the West Virginia mountains to Deep Creek Lake, Maryland and back with a buddy on one of those high-end Harley Glides. Superb performance by the Raider S, great acceleration when passing cars and other bikes. Smooth transmission shifting and fantastic suspension that cushioned some of the bumpy patches of the Road.

What a buy, no regrets about this purchase. This bike has increased my swag. This will be a great riding summer.

I have been licensed since 16 to ride MC, and have had been riding since the age of 13. I sold my ...

By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 16, 2009

I have NEVER ridden a smoother bike! This one has everything a rider needs- power to get around the big rigs on the interstate, balance for a great ride in the mountains, and a profile that is a real head turner! I've had Harley riders taking a second look!

By  (I am an Enthusiast) on Aug 16, 2009

First off I have to set the stage. I've been a Gold Wing fan for more than 17 yrs. My brother bought an 09 Raider S and when I visited on vacation he let me ride it. What a cool sled and I would like to add one to my stable someday. We went to his local dealer to check on one but they had a cherry ...

Ok as a 45 year old woman who has been riding all different bikes in the past 30 years, I feel like this is the best one by far! I just traded in my 07 v-star 1300 touring bike for this. I have owned it for 1 month and put on 1200 miles to date. Because the center of gravity is so low, it handles ...

First yamaha I've ever ridden. Boy is this Raider S a piece of work. I only have about 400 km on it but it sure makes you smile when you crack the throttle. Dealer had already installed a Dynojet Commander and Vance & Hines pipes before it even hit the showroom floor. Yamaha has really nailed it ...
