Good Bike
By (I am an Owner) on May 04, 2014Negatives first. Stock seats not comfortable for long hauls, if you are using it as a cruiser they are fine. Over 300 miles in a day gets a bit uncomfortable. Starting is average either cold or when hot. If warm it pops right off. MPGs I haven't been happy with (high 30s). However as I approach ... 11K it keeps getting better (44mpg). Seal on shifter started to leak - easy fix. Now for the positives. If you are short it's a comfortable ride and easy to get the feet down. The 1100 has decent power and you don't feel like you'll get run over on the interstate. Handles great on the pavement and is absolutely gorgeous to look at in the sun.

Great Bike, Affordable.
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 08, 2013Bought the 2008 Vstar 1100 classic brand new, never a problem in 5 yrs. Beautiful to look at, runs smooth, nice ride, very happy with it. Couple complaints, oil filter and oil change needs to have exhaust removed to change. Very inconvenient! Just to check your oil level you need to bend down or ... Kay down to see the Oil Window, while someone holds the bike level. Very much a pain in the butt. Otherwise this bike is really nice, could use more power and an Overdrive gear for Highway use. Doesn't like to go highway speeds for a long time, especially hot days. Still, all in all, very happy with it overall, and at that price was a good deal, the price has since then, climbed $1000's more for basically the same bike build.

My V-Star 1100
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 23, 2010I boght the bike in 2009 new at dealer. I've added touring package, Hyperdrive and after market pipes for noise and asfety driving. I love the performance and handleing, have done several long trips without incident. The bike is comfortable to ride turns head almost everywher I go. I belong to the ... Canadian Cruisers MC and amny of the members have stated they may trade thier bikes for a V-Star. I think my next will be a Road Star just for a little bigger ride. Even though I love my Classic canadian.....

Its great but ....
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 17, 2010I really love this bike, got a great deal on it, it runs great little low on power, looks beautiful but .. my legs are too long not the bike fault at all its mine for not noticing. I stand 6.1 at 255 lbs. Its comfortable as anything else i sit great on it but when i go to turn I have to move my ... leg out to keep it from getting inbetween my handle bar and the tank. So i now have to go and but new handle bars or lower the foot controls.
Now you might be saying hey raise the bars well to you I say I lowered them for a better riding posision on long trips.

110 classic
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 04, 2010I have had my 1100 classic for two years. I bought this after testing practically every bike this size out there. I have to say that this bike has lived up to every one of my expectations, it is a comfortable ride, very reliable, every time I start it sounds good, it Looks great and fuel is consumption ... is great. I have taken it on several 1000 mile trips and never had an issue with it. Most important thing is the wife absolutely loves it.

Yamaha 1100
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 25, 2010This is my first bike and I'm deffinately impressed by it. By like a friend of mine said there is always something out there that is always better. I've not had the chance to ride the thing too many times but I'm really looking forward to spring so I can haul the thing around for a while. Other wise ... from the limited riding experience that I have, I would say this bike runs very well, good acceleration and sound even with the stock pipes. I think its got around 65 hp and something in the neighborhood of 70 torque. So for its class it does just fine. Good milage on the bike. Looks great without the windshield i think but i would recommend keeping it on cause it makes a big difference. My bike came with custom seats so the ride is comfortable, however, i have not taken it for very long distance rides yet. I would deffinately want to spend some money on it to make it sound a little better, but the mods cost too damn much. If you don't care about mods, then this would be a great bike for you.
