Great Ride

The Vstar 1300 had almost everything I was looking for when I moved up from the Suzuki C50. It was fuel injected like the Suzuki, had a belt drive for low maintenance, and non-wire wheels because there are a lot of nails on the road here in SoCal. The only thing it's missing is a fuel gauge but I g...uess you can't have everything.

The 1300 is a powerful, quick bike but is surprisingly nimble. It pulls strongly up to around 70 MPH in second gear and will cruise comfortably at speeds in excess of 80 MPH. I've had it up to 90+ with little buzzing or vibration in the bars or on the boards. Although it's a heavy bike, I find that its low speed handling is a bit better than the C50, which is a great bike btw. Read Full Review

Best Bike Ever!

I purchased my Vstar 1300 in December 2011. It is a used bike, but I got a heck of a deal on it. This is also my very first bike, and for a woman, most people think I'm nuts. I'm glad I did go with this particular model, it has all the power that I could ever want and handles smoothly. It seems ...like the bike was made to fit my body (I'm 5'6") as I'm not leaning far forward to reach the handle bars or on my tip toes at the stop light. This is a motorcycle that I will never sell as long as I live and I would purchase again over another make (No offense to to the others out there). Read Full Review

Totally pleased

I bought my bike on Feb. 29th, 2008. The stock rear tire didn't last long, but I expected that. I've put 24K miles on it now and am still blown away by the power, handeling, and performance of this bike. mean machine

I have a 2007 v star 1300 set up exactly as a tourer.I have added Baron 7308 RSTD handlebars,Value accessories luggage rack,K and N air filter and drilled holes in air box for great airflow and cut my windshield shorter.I bought it with 6K miles on it have never had valves adjusted.This thing is so ...smooth and vibration free, it will blow most cruisers away.Regular gas and 46MPG and I only have $6K invested with all mods.This machine is liquid cooled so will probably run forever.I ride with machines that cost 3 or 4 times as much but once you do these simple mods they have to try to keep up with you.
