i purchase my 2006 vstar 650 custom in april 2007. it was straight of the crate.

i have enjoyed it very much and have not had a problem. very comfortable to ride, cheap on gas.

the vstar 650 has no problem keeping up to highway speeds 100km/hr ( 60 mph ).

ihave an 1979 650 speacial 2 and love it butt when i bout the 06 v star verson its more comfertable lower to the ground lighter easyer to manewver around even at slow speeds its a realy great bike butt i think it has less torqe power than the older one butt on the newer one u can go 35 in 5th unlike...
