This bike is awesome
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 30, 2018As a daily rider, only transport for last 28 years, I am coming off a 88 Heritage Softtail.. I am so happy I went non Harley and bought this bike.. while the weight was something I has to get used to.. and still make allowances in parking sport.. to insure I can get out.. this bike Rocks on the road. ... Hugs the highway, 80mph feels like 60, I could not be happier with a bike. Best move I ever made.

Awesome Value Awesome Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 07, 2017I am a lifelong rider, been riding two wheelers with motors since I was old enough to remember sitting in the front basket of my fathers cushman going down our driveway at about 2 yrs of age 1961 hard to believe but i even new the color of the cushman anyway my father was a huge motorcycle enthusiast ... which was passed on to me, over my lifetime I have ridin probably over 300 and owned over 150 different motorcycles always looking for the one that filed all checks and balances of my need for speed, torque, style, sound, handling and class from the sears 3.5 hp chopper the honda dreams, vespa's ct's,cb's cbr's shadow's interceptors goldwings cr's xr's Kawasaki KZ's kx's,kh's, zx's vulcan's, Yamaha RD's,DT's,XS's, yz's, virago's, R's,FZ's, Suzuki's GT's GS's, GSXR's GSX's, intruders,RM's RMZ's, harleys 883's 1000's,1200's, 1375's,1450's, triumps bonny's,Can Am's,Huskavarna's,Pentons, Hodakas,BMW's, this yamaha rings the bell like nothing else 1700cc Roadstar midnight is pure pleasure, noise, torque, speed, handling, class and comfort and no radiator, my opinion is its the best bike I personally have ever owned I highly recommend you ride one of these bad boys before buying anything else. Now i have cobra pipes, padlin quick connect bags & sissy bar, batwing faring and yes west coast Beach bars the stock bars are realy the only bad or not right part I found on this bike oh and my wife really like it to.

Luv my rice burner
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 02, 2010After a lot of research on large cruisers (Vulcan 2000, Suzuki Intruder, Harley Davidson Fatboy, Honda VTX and Yamaha Road Star), I went with the Roadie and haven't regretted my choice at all. The Midnight version came with a lot more chrome than the standard version and the deal that the dealer ... offered was too good to pass up. The Fatboy, Vulcan and VTX all came with a much higher price tag and the Intruder's styling just didn't work for me. Another factor was all the aftermarket parts available to custom fit the bike to my own personal style.
I do agree that the paint quality could be better, but I'm having it custom painted anyway, so for me it's somewhat of a mute point.
Anyway, ride on brother!

Great Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 14, 2010I saw this bike new as a leftover in January 2010 good price and nice looks. I had test rode a Kawi 900 custom that was nice. I figured this would be nice but bigger and more powerful. I was afraid it would be too heavy to go slow out the driveway and kept my feet down. Once I got lined up on the ... street and gave it gas...WOW what a GAS it was.
Smooth chunky power. How else do you describe a 1700cc V-twin. As I went through the gears " It Was Bitchen". I loved that sound that pull that feel. Cant tell you how big I was smiling. I was supposed to go around the block, well I went five blocks then turned went five more and was lovin every second on that bike. The wife came to see it and liked it. The grip angle does not match me but I can change that. Im comming off a 2006 Kawasaki z750 and I needed a bike I can put the wife on the back of. She loves it too the stock seats are great. It handles great turns quicker than I imagined it would. Around town its pure fun and gets alot of looks. I locked the rear tire as a guy in front stopped short 100 feet from a light!! I looked right and swung around him. It handled great and didnt get squirrely. I love this bike!!! Im going to leave it stock but for the bars it doesn't need anything.

2006 roadstar midnight
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 03, 2009didn't know they make paint that cheap, you look at it and it scratches. Wish it had a six speed. Drove transport for 42 years, they use a plastic paint, you can stand on the fender and clean your windows with cowboy boots and it won't scratch
