I decided to buy a bike at the age of 61. First bike since i was in my 20s. I bought the 2005 v star classic. Its a great bike. Got plenty of power for me. And comfortable to ride. Also it is wide and has that big cruiser look. Really enjoy it!

  • First bike in 32 years
By  (I am an Owner) on Dec 03, 2011

OK...55 years old and late middle age crisis maybe...but wanted to start riding again and looked at several used bikes. Finally settled on a 2005 V Star Classic 650 with 10,000 miles; Mustang full seat; Memphis Shades windshield; Vance and Hines pipes; plus some extra chrome. This is my first cruiser ...

  • Great Bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Apr 02, 2011

I bought my 05' V Star Classic 650 from a guy who barely rode it.Amazingly,it only had 800 miles on it,so I practically got a new bike for under 3000 dollars.

I would rate this bike 5 stars on how easy it is to ride, especially for a new rider,it has plenty of power and handles well. ...

The only things I can say I didn't care for was the clutch "friction zone".I bought a lever called a Clevver clutch lever (40 dollars) and after the change the zone is closer to the grip and the lever is easier to pull.Other than the stock seat on mine is a little hard, but those are the only things I can think of that I would complain about and those are very minor in my opinion.

Over all,it is a great bike for a novice,a lady or someone like me who is in their mid-forties and was looking for a way to save gas money and enjoy the open air at the same time.

I absolutely love my V Star!
