Don't "Review" what you don't own or ride...
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 18, 2009Unlike "Ugly" I have a Vision Tour. I admit that it has looks that some don't care for, but I happen to like it. It rides smooth, easy to handle, plenty of power and my wife and I get nearly 45mpg on the road. Only "complaint" is I wish it had ABS to go with the package. Even without the ABS ... it is still less expensive and more reliable than a comparable HD. If your looking at a touring MC you should at least test ride a Vision.

Awesome Motorcycle
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 01, 2009I owned a 2003 Honda Goldwing and it just did not do it for me or the wife so I traded it on an 04 Victory Kingpin Deluxe. I rode the Kingpin for 20,000 miles with zero problems and decided I wanted to go back to a full bagger with all the goodies so I ordered a Victory Vision Tour Premium on 06/20/07. ... I picked the Vision up exactly 5 months to the date ordered and I have been impressed so far with 13,500 miles on it. The ride is awesome, the handling is awesome, the performance is very good for a large bike, and the seating position is great. I have so many extras on the bike and every where I go, the people just go nuts over it. Are there some that don't like the looks, yes. The majority of the people love the looks. I have been at red lights and people will start asking questions about it or will comment on how nice it looks. I actually feel sorry at times for my buddies on their Harley's because people are always making good comments about it and alot of the comments come from fellow riders including Harley riders. I actually love Harley's, but I love Victory and wanted to be different. I ride most of the time with the tour pack off and I think it does look a little nicer without it. The Vision is one of a kind and has been trouble free so far!!

2008's Vision
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 11, 2009After having my 2002 Indian Chief totaled, I suddenly found myself in the market for a new bike. I wanted more than the Indian offered but still something different style-wise. I've got it with the Victory Vision Tour Premium.
When I purchased it, I had the stage 1 level 1 exhaust kit installed, ... which included a K&N air filter and a re-flash of the ignition map.
This bike is GREAT! Excellent thought went into the design. The built-in crash bar system is amazing - protecting all of the bodywork, while allowing an amazing lean angle. It has everything I want in a touring bike. A very aerodynamic faring system, electric-adjustable windshield, heated grips, heated seat (separate for rider/passenger), great storage, AM/FM/Weather radio with a real ipod connection, easy to read gauges, an easy to scroll through display, a gear indicator for the 6 speed, cruise control, and great storage.
The bike is powerful, with just the right amount of rumble, and attracts attention everywhere I stop.
Oil changes are a snap, and Victory sells its "Oil Change in a Box", a real simple kit with all you need.
Anyone considering a new touring bike is missing out if they don't try one.

Vision Precision; Victory Scores
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 07, 2009Having been a avid HD rider for decades (read, getting on in years), I was seeking a touring bike with all the creature comforts to make long-distance trips more pleasurable. My '05 HD Ultra Classic served me well but I still suffered from monkey butt and fatigue on long trips (> 500 miles). Then, ... while at the Intl Motorcycle Show in Minneapolis, after guiltily sitting on the BMW 1200LT and Honda GW, I came across this strange looking, American-made V-twin motorcycle. Voila, the new Victory Vision. As soon as I sat on it with its low rider seat height and forward foot controls, I was hooked. Took a couple of months for the snow to thaw and dealer availability but was able to take an extended demo ride. All anxieties and concerns disappeared. Immediately bought my Silver Vision Tour Premium w/stage 1 performance upgrade and GPS. The 11-hour ride to Sturgis was a dream and drew more attention than I could handle. This bike was PRECISELY was I was looking for.
