  • Here comes the Judge
By  (I am an Owner) on Feb 24, 2014

I absolutely LOVE my Judge. I am a 5'7" 155lb male and this is the first street legal motorcycle I have ever owned. I use my bike for many different types of riding from commuting 60 miles one way to work to taking her back in the twisties of California to the quick jaunt up PCH on the weekend. I ...

Performance: This really is the stand out category for pretty much any Victory motorcycle. The Freedom 106 engine (1731cc) has plenty of power to do anything you could ever want to do with a bike like this. The bike has a good stiff suspension that keeps the back in line on the twisties and inspires confidence for even the novice rider like myself. 5 out of 5 stars.

Quality & Reliability: Though I have only had the bike for just over a year, I have not had any issues with it in that time. She starts up instantly and can take on anything mother nature throws at her. I have ridden in hot weather cresting 100 degrees, cold weather well into the low 20s, on roads with a thin layer of fresh snow, commuted to work in the rain and even got hit with a bit of hail by surprise without a hiccup. I subtracted a star for the ugly unfinished steel clutch arm and rear wheel bolts, plastic number plate panels and the fact that I had a pulley bolt back out by itself just from daily riding.(Victory replaced the bolt and other damaged part under warranty). 4 out of 5 stars.

Ride & Comfort: The major complaints this bike was receiving from critics was on ergonomics. People didn't like the mid controls and how far they had to reach out to grab the bars. For a shorter rider like myself, the mid controls work perfectly and as another review stated they are more in between traditional mid controls and forward controls. However I do agree on the bars, they were uncomfortable to ride with on longer rides such as my daily commute to work. The main complaint for me though was with the rear suspension, it was too rigid and the rider will feel ever little imperfection in the road straight up their spine. 4 out of 5 stars.

Value: After all is said and done, the Judge is an amazing machine. It has more oomph in any gear then one of my buddy's 2013 Dyna 103, it handles better then my other buddy's 2007 Sportster in the twisties and it is still comfortable enough in the saddle to go on a longer ride. All that while being cheaper then the Harley equivalent by $1000 or more. 5 out of 5 stars.

Short and to the point: This is an amazing bike and I love it more and more everyday I ride it.

    The Good:

Amazing look and curves. I like the fact that it has the oval number plate on it. Just give it some originality as bike are starting to look more and more like each other. ...

    The bad:

Actually, I don't have anything bad to say about it. Pipes are a little quiet, but it is low and grumbly, exuding massive raw power behind it. There aren't too many accessories made specifically for it like the metric bikes, and the things that are made for the bike are pretty pricey.

Overall: I really, really, really love this bike. It is amazing and fall in love with it every time I open my garage door.

  • Perfect Muscle Cruiser.
By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 17, 2012

You can't deny the absolute brilliant styling of this bike. 70's era styling in the wheel department make this Victory cruiser a real bruiser.

Victory's Freedom 106 sounds so nice and brumbly. It will light up your tire if you are too agressive at the light. I've done it already, not ...

The feet controls are what Victory calls mid-controls, but they are really about half way between traditional mid and forward controls.

Victory calls it a drag bar, but it looks like just a regular short bar to me. I thought drag bars where one staight bar.

The seat is getting called a cafe style seat. Not really a cafe seat, it has deep firm feel, and shorter than 28" or so in seams probably won't like the reach.

The front end is about as hard of a front end I have ever been on. There is plenty of adjust on the rear for preload, but it's not at all easy to get access for a quick change. However it is only one cover and 3 bolts to gain access to the adjusting nuts.

Victory's smooth, oil/air cooled 106 is a dream to ride, it has an increadable amount of torque. And for a big, hemi, injected motor it get's pretty good gas mileage. By the way this engine is regidly mounted to the frame, you feel every little vibration, which is nothing. Did I mention that this motor is smooth?

Ergonomics of the switches are practically perfect. My only gripe is that the hi low beam is on top of the left housing instead of in front, a very miner gripe. Self canceling turn signals, a hazard switch, a horn button, and a feature button complete the left standard switches. The right side is simply the starter and kill switch. Victory offers an upgrade feature for the dash, that gives you more information on the speedo, all controlled with the feature button. The feature button cycles through the Odometer, Trip Meter, and TACH. The feature button is where the passing light button is one other bikes.

Brakes are increadable. Nope not ABS, nor linked, just rock solid front and rear disks. I have never road a bike with such powerful rear brakes.

Now go compair the price of this to the other bikes and this is now a bargain. Way more power, 2 year warranty, and a lower price.

Comes in Black, Red, and Orange. Orange is Suede (aka Denim)
