The 2010 Victory Hammer 8-Ball is a fantastic bike. Like all Victories, it has the V-twin Freedom engine, a solid well-built unit. The Hammer 8-Ball comes with the 100 inch version with a 5 speed transmission. That means 1634 CCs with five speeds. When 70 mph in fifth at medium rpm is comfortabl...e, who will really miss a sixth gear? Not me. Not you either, admit it. This model is basically blacked out, and painted black only. It has a traditional round headlight. It has very simple gauges and controls. It is plenty fast, has huge torque, looks like a miillion bucks, and grunts along smartly like a big gunboat, all things I really like. The seat is OK. After an hour you'll be adjusting, but it's no problem to do so. The bike is extremely stable - even a little resistant to turns at speeds less than 5 mph, maybe because of the ginormous wide rear tire. Deliberate action on the wide black bars moves her easily though. Handles beautifully at speed, like riding on rails. Vibration a low frequency rummble that most will find viscerally satisfying. On this bike you will experience lustful looks from people who are into bikes. It is less exepensive than most Victories because it does not have all the flash that other models have - it is a stealth candidate. For me, that made it the perfect choice.
