my 2007 vespa gts 250ie.
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 29, 2018First, right of the bat, I t is big, to anyway, big. Next, hard to get on an off the stand. Questions for me: 1.) is there a side stand and if so will it work sufficiently. Next, the Red is Red. Need I say more? I ordered a Cover for the machine, I should have looked under t5he s3at, asw new, ... a cover. My life sometimes get away from me. LOL. I had visions of all types of gadgetry, thing I better spend time with the book on a stool beside this "seems to be a monster." Took a little unlawful spin around the block, wow, why did the manufacturer feel the need to boost to a bigger motor size? (that was Q. no 2.) Most of its life was on the back of a camper trailer covered. I was told he rarely used the 250. ...not even a scratch. I have giver consideration of the ungrade 275 cc package..., yet, I cant explain why, just a thing to do, the cost might be the control factor. I am 72, near 73. well, enough for now. I need to get myself back to better shape as that scooter stand takes a lot to get the job done. Best to ya!

GTS 250ie
By (I am an Owner) on May 10, 2015Just got a used one with 410 miles on it. Up to 720 in the first two weeks. Will run 75mph if there is no headwind. 65 otherwise. The speedometer is 5 mph optimistic. Brakes are good but not as powerful as some other scooters. Voltage regulators were a problem that year (replaced mine at 500 ... miles) and the fuel injector went out. Might have been from sitting most of its 8 year life which could have gummed it up. Handling is the best I've seen on a scooter and the riding position is very comfortable for a 6' tall rider. Overall, a great, good looking scooter with a few mechanical weak spots. If you are buying a used one with over 1000 miles, I imagine the voltage regulator has already been replaced. Vespa came up with a better one than the original so this should correct the problem.

Makes a commute Fun
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 05, 2009Hopping on the GTS250 in the morning puts a smile on my face. It is comfortable, easy and fun to drive, economical and always gets a wave and smile from others who always ask, "What gas mileage do you get with that thing?"
Sure it would be great if it cost less, but sometime you pay up for ... quality. In this case it is worth it.
