awesome
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 19, 2017i've been riding 51 years, the rocket was my 14th motorcycle, bought it used in 2017,crashed and totaled it on my second ride, grabbed a handful and skidded on sand, got it fixed, and still can't wait to get back on it,be careful, the power is unreal,i've owned 7 harleys,15 to 25k ,and then you still have ... to spend another 2k for a performance kit,the rocket will blow their doors off right out of the gate, handles well, great ride, suspension is supberb, just wish it had the harley rumble, respect this bike.

5th bike I've ow
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 26, 2012Best bike I've owned over 23 years. Great torque, decent HP, ultimately awesome get up and go. I am 5'9" and if u r a small guy like me, don't decide against it yet if u r an experienced rider - new riders would be unwise to make this their first or even second bike IMHO. Warranty replaced the ... speedo but it took a battle. Back brake locks up easily / be particularly gentle with the hyper- sensitive back brake. Overall fantastic handling thru sweepers and switchbacks in the mntns. Best bike I ever owned, except for the back brake. I put on more abrasive brake pads and use almost only front brake in emergencies. Train yourself to do the same if u get 1. In black and white, she is my baby. Got 16,000 on her after about 4 yrs. I have tried all 3 tire types and highly recommend Avon Cobras for best handling/traction.

Best bike I've ridden
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 24, 2009I purchased my Rocket III Touring July of 2008. I now have 13,000 trouble free miles on the bike. This bike handles like a dream, and contiunues to leave me in awe at times. Triumph did a fantastic job with this model, and I would tell anyone who rides to throw a leg over a Rocket III Touring and ... they will see what I'm talking about.

Almost Got It Right
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 06, 2009I've owned no less than a dozen bikes from 150cc all the way up to my 08 TRlll Touring. This is one of the best riding/handling bikes I've ever owned! The balance is superb, the torque is unreal but there are 3 things I do NOT like about the TRlll. The engine "whirrr" at idle speed is nothing ... less than annoying, the quiet of the machine on the road is unnerving and finding neutral requires a bit of magic as well as luck. Otherwise, this bike has incomparable styling that always draws a crowd when parked and compliments are offered quite often. I am a 6'4" rider and find the arm position excellent but the foot position on the boards could be more forward. Trip pegs on the engine guards help a bunch on the road. If you sit tall in the saddle then get the highest windshield you can buy for cruising. The stock Triumph shield looks fabulous but doesn't work very well for us tall guys. I doubt there is a perfect bike but all in all I would say Triumph has come very close to it with the Rocket lll Touring. I'm hoping my Triumph is as dependable as my Honda VTX1300 was over the 30,000 miles I drove her in the past 4 years. Oh, I already miss the Honda Riders Club benefits ... wish Triumph would come up with something similar in the event road assistance is required.
