the New Classic

Being the owner of 2 older Triumphs, 1976 & 1977, and some older HD,I wanted a newer bike with all the looks of a Old bike. What I really wanted was the convenience and technology of a New Bike, afterall, kick-starting a bike in winter is tough! I had ridden HD for years and was ready for someth...ing that would stand out in a crowd of "wannabes". I opted for the T-100. It was the spitting image of my Older bikes but with modern everything! It still amazes me that I can pull up to the Local Bike Night & most folks want to talk about my bike as opposed to all the other "custom" bikes. Everyone has a story about one they had or one they grew up with, etc. A really good daily rider & even for a longer tour. This is not the bike you would want to ride cross-country... but you could! A classic in every sense...

Year 2001, flipping through a motorcycle magazine in India, I saw a review of the Triumph Bonneville. I had never before seen or heard of the bike and I could not take my eyes off it. I had seen plenty of Yamahas, Hondas, Harleys but this was different. I was hooked! Six years down the line, I a...m in the US and I think of buying a motorcycle. I remember the look but not the name of the bike that I fell for, until my professor drives up on a Thruxton and it clicked. A few months later I was the proud rider of a Boneville T100. Its is everything that I had thought it to be and more. With a level of sophistication and the classic looks that are hard to match, its a mature bike and has slowly but steadily created a niche for itself.

What I like the most is its ability to be a commuter, a cafe racer or a tourer with minimum fuss and fit right in. As stock its a great bike and with a few mods, it is just fantastic.

Fun Bike

My first experience with Triumph was in 1972. I was just discharge from the Marines and thought it would be fun to own a motorcycle. I purchased a brand new Triumph Trophy 500 and loved it. I owned it for five years before a wife and two small children took care of my riding days.



In 1990 I ...got the itch and purchased a 99' Fatboy and since then I owned a 03' Heritage classic, and then a 02' Heritage Springer. I was not satisfied and finally decided to by another Triumph. I purchased an 07' Triumph T100 and remembered why I loved riding. It looks good and rides even better.

If you are in the market for a bike, try the T100. So what if some of the snobby Harley riders will not wave. You will enjoy ride and handling ability of the Triumph. It's just plain fun. Read Full Review
