My 07 Bonny black

I love this bike it dose every thing i want it to do.

Its my daily ride rain hail or shine, its a very forgiving bike.

Mods ive done- Alarm, Pipes, jetting, 150 rear tyre on standard rim (a dunlop GT 501).

seat, cowing front and rear, Ikon suspension front and rear. K&N high flow filter,Bar e...nd mirrors,center stand. home made fender remover plate, small indicators led brake light. M Bars on the way.
Recomended minimun mods are pipes & jetting, Ikon suspension, bar end mirrors are anything smaller than the standard mickys and you arms are in view, and definetly a center stand.
i trvel long ks to work 100kms round trip, I ride it hard always have it loves the rev and shows stanch power to the limiter. It has a good consistant rev rang right threw.
a 150 rear tyre dose not effect the bikes handling, and it dose handle with the ikon anyway a must have before any other performance upgrade.
Ive sat on this bike for over 500kms no prob only to stop for fuel a 4 gal tank would be nice. Cons -Two up not the best would not recomend it for a long trip.
no center stand in the package.
No performance parts dealers in Australia with a wide range of gear you can't even get Ace bars, a high rev limiter, wide rim kit here.
Where you can get some stuff - Z power and they COD there are others but there the best ive delt with hassel free and prompt delivery.
You get more than you pay for it would have to be one of the best value bikes on the market with good erganomics and reliability with more than enough power to get you in trouble and a very attractive looking machiene with a good presence even among other bikes. people even go out of there way to find me and comment in person and ask lots of questions. And ive just started ill be back and ill show more pics of my progress. Yeah i love it side ways on gravel roads to it handles don't worry about that ive ridden this baby hard since the day i got it and no prob at the last service of 28,000 kms ive put heaps of pics here enjoy and theres on of all my bikes with the Bonny, As well as earlier pics when i first got it and progress.

Way under rated by Triumph

Triumph realy made a stuff up that i am thankfull for i would have payed more for the all black feature than the standard it realy should have been priced as a limited bike in between the standard and the thruxton but there again i didn't get the thruxton also because i thought the 360 degree fire o...rder would have been less stress on the motor than the 270 fire order of the thruxton, i have no real evidents just first thought and instinct. and the black dose look the goods and tuff to boot.
Its gotta be the best dollar for dollar value bike around with everything it gives back. and it don't break ya pocket the doe ya save on fuel will pay for it in the end with trouble free riding and minimal service problems i ride this bike hard since day 1 hail rain or shine and i do change the oil more often but i just throw it in another ol lower reving banger and that stays happy. 28,000 hard long kms on the clock since sept 07 this bike was off the first shipment to Australia i hadn't even seen one i new Triumph would not give the bonneville a bad name and i was right. it hasn't got everything a ducati GT 1000S has but its a lot cheaper and you can do it how you wan't at least its cheap enough to buy then mod the way you like. Very thoughfull of Triumph to win the mid market i guess. It'll do 180 kph flat out with no hard head wind but not screeming the rev limiter gets you. It loves you to pull it right up to the rev limmit just before that the power comes on strong. it wobbles at 160 without Ikon suspension so get it ASAP. Read Full Review

Heres me Bonnie Black Cafe racer

the attitude is just starting the suspension looks and practical stuff first with very mild performance parts.

Then the warm performance parts.

Then one day the drag strip as a street legal racer entery.

For personal times tr...ials to see where to go from there.
practical added parts -The bike has a center stand and an alarm system. a must for sevice of rear end and so you get to see the next service.
performance done to date -This bike has Ikon suspensionfront and rear, a must if you intend to use the bikes full potentual. After market pipes with a very nice note wich i will enhance with performance parts later. Jetted to suit.
K&N high flow air filter.
A dunlop 501 GT 150x17x70 rear tyre sweet handling don't listen to others they must have not run it in for the first 100 kms a must ive been in the mountain rangers of the Flinders raining mad and screwing it on, its all good no slide. Its on a stock rim and i put it on myself no trouble.
Looks add ons are - thruxton seat and cowl and front fly screen,end bar mirrors and 28,000 kms on the clock.
Waiting for M bars
enquiering about and thinking of getting - High rev limiter,bell mouth,(nogoly high voltage coils,wires, ridium plugs,4.25"x 17x 40 rear rim to accomidate a 170 rear tyre.
L8R thunder cams, 988 big bore kit,
I have in the box not yet put on a set of RAASK performance offset manifolds & chrome bellmouths to sweep out the sides of the bike. but waiting the next upgrade, Just getting a stock of parts its going to look mad. I made a rear fender remover kit and wacked on an led tail light and small turn siginals. Well enjoy some more pics of where im at with it.

Back in Black!

I've had my Bonnie Black for a year now and have to say it doesn't get any better than this for a classic bike. I've put a couple thousand miles on it, mostly urban, and haven't had one problem. It has plenty of horses to get out the way of just about anything and keeping up with just about everyone.... Everywhere I go I get stopped by people telling me their stories of the old Triumphs they rode and how great it was that they are still making them. Stock the bike is great but with a couple upgrades this bike is super. If you are looking for a bike that's easy to ride and can keep up with your buddys Harley, this is definitly the way to go.
