2009 Tiger ABS-Rocks!
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 21, 2009The engine pulls through all six gears and the bike is nimble as the cat it is. My bike is lowered 1.5 inches (5'10" tall). I love the way it corners and once you twist the wrist it really comes to life. It is sweet cruising in town but loves the back roads, twisties and the open road. I'm very ... happy with this bike. I can ride w/o any lower back pain, I sit perfect.

iI bought the 2010 Tiger SE
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 20, 2009Im 6'9" with size 17 feet. This is the first bike that damn near fits me perfectly. All I have to do is fit mirror wideners, a taller wind screen and the optional tall seat and the bike is perfect. This a bike for tall guys! I keep reading that the little folk have trouble and complain that its too ... tall or top heavy. For me, its not on both accounts So, if your or normal height like me this is the bike for you. Also, I like the fact that if your going to places where a lot of bikes park. You probably wont see another bike like yours. frankly Im tored of seeing a sea of harleys, BMWs and Ducati Monsters etc. This bike does everything very well.

Triumph Tiger 2010 SE (how much !?)
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 25, 2009Just scored my 2010 Tiger SE .. Out the door at $14,600.
Thats with The Hard cases, hand guards & ABS ..plus the funky matt black and graphite color scheme.
I gotta tell you I shopped it against the Beemer 1200GS ($20,000 out the doorwith the same kit) and the MotoGuzzi Stelvio ... (if you dont live in LA or NY you are about 1000 miles from your nearest dealer) and the V-Strom..
All very nice bikes .. I'd be happy with any I guess, Beemer will have best resale vale..but the extra $$$ Yikes !
The V-Strom is strong and way cheaper ..I just like stuff out of the mainstream better..hence the Triumph..
What I like (and dont)..
Brakes are strong..its a fast spinning motor (especially after my old V-Twin) the gearbox is sweet (but has a sizeable false neutral between 5th and 6th..have to kick hard on that upshift) ..
The fuel gauge is bolloxed.. the low fuel light comes on with 2g still in the tank..so use the trip meter and easily get 225mi of high speed runs.
Fast ..but aren't all liter bikes ?
I dont know if its just good tires, but you can split lanes and run on the stripe and it doesnt weave..its the first bike that doesnt do the yellow-stripe-shimmy..its great ..
I'm tall 6'02" ... the windshield is perfect.
All in all with 500mi on the clock .. Rate it a 8.5/10.. solid performer !
