One of the best tourers out there
By (I am an Enthusiast) on May 23, 2011Purchased an used 2007 with just 1700 mi last October to replace my aging 2003 Suzuki VStrom. I loved the Suzuki but the Tiger took it to another level in terms of braking, suspension and smoothness. The engine is almost electric with a seamless delivery of power all the way to red line without the ... sport bike-like sudden surge. The radial brakes are good but gets better with better pads. It's an one-finger operation since I installed Ferodos.
All that while comfortably doing 48-50 mi/gallon. And looking good too!

Triumph Tiger 1050
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 15, 2008A tall-rounder, with that great triumph triple engine, with a large comfy seat, good ergos so knees are not folded-up.
Negatives: For those who prefer no windblast, finding the right windscreen is key. And for some -- I'm 5"11" 32" inseam -- I need lower bars, so I have a forward ... slight lean. I find that easier on my fused back.
This is a great machine. There is no doubt. The Japanese would do well to take a Triumph lesson and build some triples.
