  • Honest review from an addict...
By  (I am an Owner) on Feb 20, 2021

i have been so lucky to have owned, ridden over 140 Motorcycles ranging from zzr600 to Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro and nearly everything in between. my mates and i had the misfortune to suffer a mysterious electronic fault the same time, me on my enduro 1200 and he on his new versys 1000 never ...

    2 x 2006 triumph tigers!

WOW! my mate has the all black and me the silver one. mine has the TOR exhaust and pipecross air filter and tuned with 10173AF2MOD map,

the comfort and linear power this thing delivers is awesome, i have a 06 varadero 1000 and highly tuned 2006 vstrom in my garage and ridden all 3 back to back and the tiger is way better than the others. smoother, way better handling, only gripes on other reviews are gear changing and finding neutral, this is easily remedied by loosening the chain to 50mm and properly adjusting the clutch cable.

i paid 1800 for my 14000 mile example stolen/recovered with minimal damage.

those who complain it is top heavy, fork diving etc please ignore them, for me at 6 foot 3 the top heaviness with full tank of fuel 24l is an aid to handling, and fork diving is always a bad trait when going from a normal street/road bike to an adventure bike with double the suspension travel.

looks wise this will not win any competitions however will take you around the globe with ease and comfort reliably with minimum effort and cost.

what are you doing still reading this!

get out there and grab yourself one the second best all rounder Adventure bike ever made!

Have had Fei Hu (flying tiger in chinese) for over 2 years now. 15,000 miles and no worries and on second set of tires. Stockers are sticky enough to get to the pegs, though leaning over that far was only in pursuit of my bud on a F4 MV agusta...which I shoulda known better. But this big can be ...

  • What a KICK!!
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 14, 2008

During my younger days, I spent most of my street riding time on dual purpose type trail bikes. It was big fun to be riding down the road and when you came to a gravel side road, just take off down it and see where it went. I put bikes away for about 20 years and got the urge again about 2 years ...
