Burgman K8 400

I have a 2008 model Burgman 400. It worked perfectly well until November 09 when it was 5 months old. At this point (1800 miles on the clock), it started to Judder at low speeds.



The problem is that Suzuki decided to fit different clutches to the 2008 models. These clutches are too light and the ...juddering is caused by the rollers disengaging. My dealers said the bike was OK to ride, and so did Suzuki, but eventually the clutch seized completely. My bike has been in the dealer's workshop for 4 weeks because Suzuki haven't sent the parts out. The aftersales care demonstrated by Suzuki and the dealer is disgraceful. I won't buy another Suzuki.

It does have one other fault. It has a lousy turning circle, and is really tricky to get round tight turns.

Bergman 400

I love my Bergman 400. I recommend this bike for the person who wants the max for the money. The bike handles well on the streets and highway. If you are (were) a beginner like myself; this is the perfect bike. Although the bike is a lightweight; the Bergman is no joke-just try picking up a 475lb go...rilla, but the Bergman 400 also showed resiliency with a passenger (wife) on backseat. This will be her bike eventually-when she learns how to ride. The bike's front throttle does seem rattle some in the 4000 rpm range, but I had it checked and all the techs tell me that it's a normal occurrence because of the one cylinder engine is doing all the work. I've put all my beginning and mediocre riding including my learning curves behind me to approx 1300 miles. Now I have all my best riding ahead of me. As a result of my initial 600 mile service, my Bergman performs ever the more-better with quicker acceleration and sharper response. My next service will be at 4000 miles. Burgman 400 ABS 2009

I wrote a review not so log a go. I bought the Burgman bran new in April 2010 and at the end of summer in October I put 14000Km on it. It start Juddring at 2000Km My Suzuki deale tell me thet there is no recall for my year model only on K8 model mine is K9... But I do have all the same thing happeni...ng describe in the 2008 recall bulletin fron Suzuki. I found that the only way if you have to pay from your pocket to stop the juddering happening from 5Km/h to 25Km/h or 1200rpm to 2500rpm is to buy an after market speed clutck for your Burgman 400. Bran new parts and new technologies Bye Bye Juddering ! So this summer I will buy and install my self those parts and add a Leo Vince 4 roar exhoust. In my past review I wrote that it hase poor acceleration in comparaison os earlier model. Now the acceleration is a bit better after the first 6000Km but I think buy changing the clutch will make the acceleration better. Alain Read Full Review

I have what I think is a problem, Dealer unable to fix.

I bought it in September and after the 500 mile fluid changes there was a noticable issur between 3200-3800 RPM's A very hard bucking like bad fuel but before and after it runs like a scalded dog. My dealer has made many attempts to stop it and for about 500 miles after they work on it the issue is ...gone. Has anyone else had this problem. I'm tired of fighting and am wondering if this is just a normal thing for the bike. I need comformation there is a problem if anyone else has had this or if it is NORMAL. Any input is welcome. Great bike

Best gas mileage of the ≥400cc touring scooters. Best storage (62 liters). Extremely comfortable. Excellent wind screen and overall wind protection. Fine, zippy performance: Handles very well, Cruises easily at 65-70 mph. Good options include heated grips and hand protectors. Read Full Review
