loved it---until!!

yes, I loved it. comfort, handling, convenience. Reliability was the issue.

In the 4 plus years of ownership it has gone through headlights(9),ignition switches(3), wheel bearings(4) and the last was the bearing supporting the output saft coming from the motor to the input shaft of the transmissio...n.
Repairing this requires costs exceding the current value of the machine!!
Suzuki was conacted but offered no assistance. Investigating further, it appears that there have been a number of similar failures world wide. I now have a garage full of burgman parts. LET THE BUYER BEWARE. Read Full Review

superb bike/scooter

I have owned and ridden many-many bikes and loved every one of them however, I got the burgman 650 in 2003 and ever since than I do not look or think of any other bikes at all.

I have more than 40k miles on it I ride in los angeles california and it is by far the best bike ever I have seen and driv...en.
Very reliable bike,easy to maintain and good fuel "MPG".
I have rode on 3 sets of tires they last about 15k miles. the best performence tires of this bike are the OEM bridgestone. "don't try anything else".

The 650 Burg is the best of the rest. Handles better than the BM's that I had. Smooth,powerful,great weather protection,love the automatic. Infinite foot posi...tions and seat moved forward works for me as I have the upright position of the Beemer. I can stow my Aerostich, Nolan and boots under the seat when I go watch a movie. You remimber the car your dad had, always kept in the garage. know unstead of just getting used to driving junk, know you can aford one. This bike even makes me smile when I ride it and thats not easy to do. Read Full Review
