Great bike!

Replaced a Kawasaki Vulcan 500 with the Suzuki TU250 and am glad I did. Great bike, crisp 'tossable' handling, great riding position, comfortable seat, very nice clutch, surprisingly smooth engine, good torque off the line, even power delivery across the revs, and fairly smooth ride.



Top speed i...s somewhere north of 75 mph (this will have to wait completion of the break in period). Zero to sixty feels like it's in the 9-10 second range.

Construction looks and feels to be of good quality. And, to my eye, it looks the way a motorcycle should.

Highly recommended if you're after some uncomplicated fun or a great commuter. Read Full Review

7 months/1000miles/its getting faster!!

My first review at 3 months/400miles of ownership had one ding against this really nice bike-speed or lack of. Well its breaking in really nice and geting quicker off the line.



Did my first oil change at 500 miles,oil was clean, no filings looked almost new.



Did I mention gas milage as Great!&...gt;70mpg. A really sweet bike!!! No issues and would buy another in a second. Read Full Review

Vibration at 40mph?

Purchased my 2009 TU with 514 miles in Sept, 2011. Don't understand why another poster is experiencing vibration above 40mph. I can get to 65mph+ and still very smooth. Added the white trim gel seat that gives it a very cool and complete look, but is very, very hard as compared to the stock seat ...which is excellent (will be switching back.) Bike is very smooth and easy to ride. Has a great retro look with lots of chrome. Currently own 3 dirt bikes but this is the first for the street. Read Full Review

TU 250

I am a big guy. 6 foot+ 250 pound+ 30 inch in-seam+/-, and today I had the opportunity to throw my leg over a TU250, GZ250, and Honda Rebel 250.



Forgetabout the Rebel, Honda has something going on that pushes into the back of your legs and doesn't make for a comfortable all-around riding positio...n.

Disappointed and surprised at the same time was my experience with the Suzuki. I found the ergonomics on the TU250 awkward, I was all bunched up and I felt like I was leaning forward in a "Speed Racer for Scooter" position.

As a commuter, or city-bike, the TU250 may look cool, but what I felt with the GZ250 was a design based on tried and true saddle-experience for the in-city, suburban, and new rider.

{Food for thought - there may be a good reason why old designs, like standard bikes, are old - we evolve, so do our rides. Perhaps, the cruiser design/layout is the pinnacle of all-around practical bike design?)

Thanks to the folks at Stamford Motor Sports in Stamford, CT., for their time and the opportunity to help me size-up the different 250cc bikes they had on their showroom floor.

Would I buy from them - yes, they came across to me as being genuine - not another "Honda Bob".
