Best bike I have owned
By (I am an Owner) on May 28, 2014I have owned Yamaha Honda and not 2009 Hayabusa. By far the hardest accelerating and comfortable bike I have ever owned. It turns so well that you don't know it's not a 1000. If you ever have a chance to ride one. I know you will want one !

My dream bike
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 12, 2011I have been riding for 45 years and yes I should be on a Gold Wing but the 200 Busa is a Dream, I owned a 2003 busa for 6 years and moved up to the 2009, out of the box power that I need and love and 45 MPG also. What more could a bike rider ask for....

better than old 21 more hp than ever before
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 23, 2010Only 289 miles, But already know even though 40th bike: didn't make a mistake with this one. The 09 r1 is as smooth as butter but the Hayabuas is 5 x smoother than that. First tank of gas even though hit 120+ a couple of times and ran 10mph over on average on the freeway still got 48.2 mpg, second ... tank even more aggresive riding 47.3 mpg
This is one GREAT bike enought said.

The Beyond!
By (I am an Owner) on May 05, 2010The question one must ask is this: what do I expect of this motorcycle? I can say that this out-of-the-box production motorcycle is simply beyond one's expectations, unless he/she happens to be a Moto-GP professional racer. Even these people will have very little to be negative about when they ... ride the Hayabusa on the STREETS... that is in the real world as compared to being on a race track.
For the money or even double the money, THIS is the bike to have, to own, to enjoy and be thrilled beyond your wildest dreams for the everyday biker-rider who rides exclusively on public roads and highways.
This is NOT a race-track prototype. It's not dedicated to going around a race track faster than everything else. HOWEVER, even so, it's not far off it! From 0-300kph even professional "Reviewers" concede that there is nothing else quite like it for the last decade. OK, forget what "they say"...especialy lame comments like "Style" and "Rear-End" likes and dislikes. These useless comments by so called sylists (maybe hairdressers) completely miss the point of this motorcycle. What it's for is PERFORMANCE. Ask ANYONE who has redlined ANY gear on the Hayabusa or better still, do it yourself. Then you'll KNOW. For my money, there is just nothing else out there of any interest. Well, maybe a GSX 1400(for real!) or a Postie bike (which will be extremely enjoyable, economical too and useful for going to the Supermarket!) However, I'd still rather go to the supermarket the long way around, on my Hayabusa and forget the shopping!
I am not saying the Hayabusa is without it's limits, but I can assure you that on everyday roads and highways, you will reach YOUR limit before it does. It can only be improved upon if it came with a Miss Universe contestant who would take care of all the servicing of the bike AND owner!

Fla. state troopers pride hurt
By (I am a Writer) on Nov 11, 2009I watched a busa out run 3 troopers 10/7/09. He was so far ahead of them I dont know why they even bothered. I beleave it hurt there pride more than anything. Running from the law is stupid but sometimes you want to see someone out run the law espicaly at 180 MPH. No they didnt catch him.

09 Busa Massive improvment over mu older 02 model
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 08, 2009I picked up my 09 up in Augusta maine and drove it back to Gorham. I was blown away at how smooth the transmission was and how smooth it road and it didnt vibrate as much as my 02. HATE the exhaust and way too quite but thats an easy fix. This bike is like a high performance touring bike that really ... Rocks!!!

Mischiefs new ride
By (I am an Owner) on May 17, 2009I think the Suzuki 1300 Hayabusa is a wonderfully enginered motorcycle .Everyone knows about its brute power, but it is also a remarkably well mannered motorcycle. Its got it all ... the looks , nimble and agile, excellent brakes, even gets pretty good gas mileage.I have had all makes of motorcycles ... during my life, the Hayabusa is by far the most thrilling motorcycle i have owned .... mischief

So easy to ride!!
By (I am an Enthusiast) on May 09, 2009Bought my new Busa over a month ago. After having my 04 GSXR 1000 for more than two years I thought it was time to offer my wife a bike that was easier for her sit on and easier on my body to ride, but didn't wanna give up the horsepower. Well I definately chose the right bike. Abundant power, rides ... like your sitting on a lazy boy. We have been up to 175 miles in one day and we still stay reasonably comfortable all day and I can definately feel less fatigued. And when I'm out by myself the power is just a twist away. Dash looks crowded when you first get used to it but easy to use after a few miles, the power modes is great for different types of roads.Even a little on the heavy side this bike still corners unbelievably. Don't be scared to take it on the twisties, it will take em. Also loving the new integrated turnsignals, front and rear. They really work well and compliment the bike very well. Only complaint is the exhaust setup, not to fond of the duals, but will be switched to a 4-2-1 soon.
