Great Bike!

I have owned my 2009 GS500F since March of 2011. I have really enjoyed this bike. I am a bigger guy 235 lbs and wasn't sure a ninja 250 would get me there. I did some research and this bike caught my eye. It will easily take me to 80mph +. The other factor was by far the price. When I bought i...t Suzuki had a promotion on the GS500F of $1000 off and 1.9% financing up to 60 months, so I drove off the lot for just under $4000. Not bad for a brand new bike that gets 45+ mpg (depending on rider weight).

On another note the insurance for this bike is very reasonable, I have full coverage with roadside assistance and diminishing deductible from progressive and pay $396 per YEAR. (I'm 32). After the first year without any claims it went down to $353. Not too shabby. Read Full Review

Humble Beginnings - Great Times Ahead

I got my license in November 2010 and I bought my 2009 GS5F in December 2010. I almost have 10K miles on it. I ride it to and from work whenever the sun's out. It looks sporty and easily keeps pace with anything on the freeway. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that it doesn't have EFI, so y...ou'll have to spend a few minutes warming the engine (not a problem if you're comfortable adjusting the choke while you ride). I had a leaky gasket issue, but the factory warranty covered it. It handles great and the riding position is comfortable for my 45+ old bones. Read Full Review
