  • Capable all-rounder
By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 03, 2018

Standard UJM. Does everything adequately, but nothing well.

Overweight for power output. Lack of bottom end a real liability.

Could be geared higher. Rear suspension is a little wooden.

Reliability and fuel economy excellent. Warm climates test the cooling system when sitting ...

Good commuter and general hack but hard to fall in love with.

  • Good bike for the money
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 15, 2010

Good touring bike. Engine smooth and a low RPM at cruising speed in 5th gear. There are 6 gears. Plenty of passing power and straight away speed out with this 650. Good control on quick stops. A little lag time with the suspension on slowing into curves.(There are suspension adjustments.) However ...

Overall an excellent and affordable choice for a sport tourer. Highly recommend it.

  • Great all round bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Jan 10, 2010

Ride this bike all day with out getting tired like most sport bikes. This one should be classified as a Sport Touring, because that exactly what I did last year with it. Mechanically it's solid and just plain fun. The F in GSX650F stands for FUN. Seriously, best bike I've ever owned and I've had ...

  • 2008 GSX650F =All Out Fun Ride
By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 27, 2009

Fantastic ergonomics, especially for the vertically challenged. I am 5'7" 190lbs and the upright ridding position serves me very well. And I believe others will like the same ridding position. So much funner to ride than the boring cruiser bikes. The Gsx650f is Light agile and quick. Great overall ...

  • quick enough
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 25, 2008

The GSX650F is a very quick, nimble, versatile bike with good looks and great mileage.

I have added a power commander and a sprocket, one tooth bigger than stock.

    Makes a big difference.

    Bike runs 140 mph
