  • I wanted an all rounder - I got it
By  (I am an Owner) on Aug 12, 2015

I was looking for an upgrade on my 250, and was talking myself into a gixxer thou or a cbr1000rr. I commute every day, and asked for advice on whether a 600 or 1000 was the go. I got a left field suggestion to look at the 750's. Being that no one else has a bike in the market, I had written them ...

Anyway, I looked at a couple in a dealership, and found my bike privately, for a deal I couldn't turn down. It was pouring rain on my first ride of her, and I set the mode selector to C (I still use it in the rain to dampen throttle response). first thoughts, even on C it was immediately grunty. My second throught, even in the torrential rain, with nerves going crazy, It just felt right. planted. balanced. potholes full of water didn't upset the composure. I was elated. my fears of having wasted a bunch of cash on a hamstrung sportsbike I could only use when the moons aligned were sated. I knew I could ride here anywhere, anytime confidently.

The next ride out, it was dry, and my second fear was eased. on Mode A she was brutal. this wasn't a pretend sports bike. it had the grunt to embarrass supercars in the right hands. My 3rd fear remained. something so planted, so confidence inspiring, without any feeling of twichiness couldn't possibly handle. had I bought the Harley of sportsbikes?

This past weekend, after months of ownership, I got a break in the weather aligning with time in my schedule. I filled her up with premium and pointed her at the best roads this state. again, my fears were unfounded. She is so stable leant over, and rewarding to smooth inputs. Everybody who saw me the afternoon of that ride asked if i'd just had sex because I was glowing.

Sure there are faster bikes, prettier bikes (although with a tail tidy and an aftermarket exhaust the rear end is awesome), but for the sweet compromise of commuting on a sports bike, nothing comes close. even if it does make you want to take the long, twisty road to work every day. And the intoxicating sound of the gruff engine coming into a bellow at 8000rpm, coupled with the whine of the induction is addicting.

  • It fits!
By  (I am an Owner) on Feb 16, 2013

I'm 5'1" & 110#, learned to ride 3 yrs before I bought this bike. Comfortable & fit me better than the Virago or SV-650 I had before. I didn't lower it, use bones or shave the seat. My ability to control this bike was awesome, until I pushed it waaay too far....

  • amazing bike!
By  (I am an Owner) on Feb 08, 2012

I bought my k8 GSXR750 last year, and it is by far the best bike I've owned / ridden. Throttle response is great. Seat and rider position is super comfy. One of its best features tho, is the pre-mapped settings of the injector pulse and computer. With a simple touch of a button you can choose the ...

  • Great Bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 03, 2010

This is my first bike that I have owned myself. I have rode others but I have to say that I love this bike. It has great power and great control. I just added a Yoshimura R-55 exhaust and now it has great sound also.

By  (I am an Owner) on Apr 05, 2010

this bike flat out rips. Intoxicating powerband with the manuverability of a 600. I ended up putting on some slightly higher clip ons for those slow in city jogs, but with an open road, this bike just wants to go. It's so smooth and so fast that you don't realize you are going 50k over the speed ...

  • Sex on 2 wheels!
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 12, 2008

I used to own a k1 GSXR 1k, and i've got to say that this bike puts that bike to shame.

Its smoothness on the road, its grip with the new Bridgestone Tires, its beautiful sounding engine revving up to 15,000 RPM. Its literally 'Sex on 2 Wheels'.

A great bike, even for ...

The Orange / Black color combination is purely stunning. I always turn a head or two when cruising around.

The design is flawless, the ergonomics of the bike is great as well.

Comfort, Performance, and Quality make this bike a best buy!

  • Best ride!
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 18, 2008

This gixxer is so smooth, easy to ride and handles amazing! The power delivery is incredibly linear and strong. This is my 2nd bike and the best that I've riden so far. It looks stealth and I keep sneaking a look in the garage just to look at it.
